seem very similar, though the Italian ones seem a bit lighter and airy-er

What type of area attracted the Portuguese and the Poles? That’s a unique combo!

Ludlow, Massachusetts, next town over from where I grew up. Chicopee and Holyoke are close by, too. Right outside of Springfield. There were a bunch of mills in the area around the time they were emigrating.

The white Steve McQueen is dead, not the black one.

It’s a different guy, apparently. A lot blacker than the old one.

I thought Hollywood had this name thing sorted out. The new guy should have to be “Steve J McQueen” or something like that.

I guess that rule only applies to actors.

Me, neither, till now. SNL did a skit Saturday about him doing casting for the “evil white slaveowner” parts and how awkward it would be to get people to read those nasty lines for an audition.

Don’t tell me you watched that one?

I bought a bootleg copy in Trinidad from a guy who sets up a table across the road from the police station and threw it in my bag.

Several months later, I tried to watch it but it was all messed up and wouldn’t read.

So, I’m out like $1.

I would feel cheated, but my wife was able to use it as a pecking toy “shiny object” for the baby chickens.

Inglorious Basterds was a great film.

We’ve got us a German here who wants to die for his country.

Oblige him!
