A heroic Los Angeles-area taco stand employee saved a four-year-old boy from a deranged kidnapper.
Jesus Delgado, a grill cook at T2 Tacos, in Westchester, jumped out from behind the counter Wednesday and rescued Grady OBrien from a North Hollywood man who took him after punching his nanny in the face.
Witnesses told KTLA the man was ranting about being in the CIA before sucker punching the nanny and making off with the child yelling he was the father Gradys six-year-old brother Brendan screamed for help until Delgado sprang into action.
The children were walking home from school with the nanny when the afternoon attack occurred.
The line cook bolted across multiple lanes of traffic on a busy thoroughfare to chase the would-be kidnapper down, witnesses said.
Delgado told KTLA he heard the young boy screaming for help and just reacted. Witnesses claimed they also heard the nanny screaming for help after she was punched by the foiled kidnapper.
He told me, 'It's not your problem, man. It's not your problem. Leave me alone with the kid, Delgado recalled to KNBC. I said, 'This is my problem. This is my problem, because why you take this boy?'
The heroic man scooped up the frightened child from the unstable man and held him down until police arrived, according to reports.

Good for him, very brave
(good job - most likely undocumented Taco stand worker - I will give you credit for a green card)
This is called “integration” in America. It is how a people are not just tolerated, but appreciated.
“He told me, ‘It’s not your problem, man. It’s not your problem. Leave me alone with the kid”
(this is the voice of the devil).
“Delgado recalled to KNBC. I said, ‘This is my problem. This is my problem, because why you take this boy?’”
(and this the voice of a guardian angel.)
Wow, good for him!

Awesome! God bless that man and his family!
The kind of story we like to hear about new Americans !
“The heroic man scooped up the frightened child from the unstable man and held him down until police arrived”
He held the frightened child down? Unclear?
I noticed that. Bad reporting but, in context, I gathered that he held the kidnapper down until police arrived.
If he’d held the boy, that would have prevented the kidnapping. On the other hand, the kidnapper would have escaped. I assume he held the kidnapper.
Why do you think he’s new to America?
Glad both kids are safe but do wonder why they didn’t list the kidnapper’s name and the condition of the nanny.
Why would a little boy need to be held down until the police arrived?
That is so totally believable, Johnny.
Muy bueno, senor. Gracias.
Wow! Way to go, Jesus!
The heroic man scooped up the frightened child from the unstable man and held him down until police arrived, according to reports....Why did he hold a frightened child down until the cops got there? Seems the kid was frightened enough.
Yes, there is nothing about the kidnapper. No name, race, age, status, taken into custody, nothing. And, no motive, although there are a few we can guess.
Hope the nanny is all right.
Thank God for this heroic man. I have a feeling his daughter’s medical bills will be greatly reduced.
I grew up in Westchester. Of course, back then (1950s and early 1960s) other than a Taco Bell, there were no taco businesses in town. And certainly no one named Jesus working in one.
