Class is in session. Hopefully, the Soother is ok.
Stolid - a fourth state of matter even harder than solid.
OK.....I was thinking stoic, but solid I get. A++
he’s prob slacking, but yeah, hope he’s ok. thanks for opening, i have a crapload of work. xshub got home from NYC, xsfiance i think was able to take off for Miami, and we will see if our houseguest from Dallas will be able to make it in later today. She’s flying into BWI airport, which supposedly just broke a 100 year old record for COLD. It’s 13 degs here, roads still icy and lots of snow on side streets.
There is stolid evidence that Russia’s position across the Crimean peninsula is getting more entrenched every hour.
Wow....talk about busy.
A++ Depressing as the weather and four more years of Obama. Can’t get more stolid than that.
Thanks. I was thinking it was Wednesday for some reason.
A+++ I worry for the protestors, in both Venezuela and the Ukraine.
It’s accurate. A+++
slacking— it’s the default position ; )
Mr Lucas is suing McDonald’s because the stolid treatment was unsavory. The $1 Million suit will allow him to Ketchup!
I was trying to climb at a 30 degree angle, but I didn’t keep the plane’s speed up and I stolid it.
Though Vladimir’s actions are squalid
Obama’s reaction is stolid
“I’m thinking it through
I know what to do”
His brain, like cement, is a solid
Be careful out there.
Stolid. Stolid as a rock.
oh the darwin award winners are coming out in the snow.
They showed church people making paczkis last night on the news.
Secret ingredient: bourbon.
Kerry is a horrible pubic speaker - what a boring news conference about such an important topic
I figured someone would come up with Stolis Vodka. Hmmm. A++
Stolid: a term to describe the state of a “firm” stool sample.
I was taught to be stolid when sizing up an adversary who doesn’t know that is not my “real” personality-it has paid off many times...
If Obama practiced being stolid
Instead of going off on a tear
Maybe he’d actually make sense,
And he’d certainly be more aware
Of all that stifled laughter
From every leader who hears
The words that point to having
A blank space between the ears
As he puts his mouth in gear
Before he engages his brain-
Every leader either laughs
Or decides that he is insane...
A+++ Obama tries that on Republicans and they cave, but on the world stage he ends up a chump. Putin does it and nails it. Kind of comical.
People around here are getting stupider and more paranoid.
i just have to believe these people live in small towns/rural areas and do not get out much. there is no other explanation for some of this. kidnapping the baby bc they require that you give them the name of a pediatrician? seriously? we had to have selected a ped before giving birth, and who in their right mind wouldn’t, just for the sake of PRUDENCE??
and i might add that was 26 yrs ago!
In this case, the guy says his sister and some other relatives are nurses, so he doesn’t need a pediatrician.
I think a lot of it is just plain stubbornness. Like a teenager. If someone in “authority” tells them something, they automatically do the opposite.
And then there are those who don’t realize that there are lots of morons out there reproducing and if hospitals don’t make an effort to make sure people have some clue, they can be sued.
but yes, the clientele has seen a diminution of smarts and savvy, apparently.
or like a libertarian... ; )
To be fair, by that time she’ll have gone nearly a month without a vacation.
gotta take advantage of the taxpayer funded spring breaks while the getting is good.
I should add that my son has a top Q Clearance because he works with nuclear materials at Savannah River. It's not like he's some thug, or something. He'll catch the train to Richmond later today and hang out all week with his sister and her family while grandson does his top secret leadership training thing in DC.
