CNSNews.com) - The Department of Health and Human Services is estimating in its new budget proposal that the number of unaccompanied alien children who will be caught having illegally entered the United States will rise to 60,000 in fiscal 2014. That is up about 815 percent from the 6,560 unaccompanied alien children (UAC) who were apprehended in the U.S. only three years ago in fiscal 2011.

According to HHS, the vast majority of the unaccompanied alien children arriving in the U.S. come from Central America—not Mexico.

“As directed by Congress, ACF is meeting with other government agencies--this has included the Departments of Homeland Security, State, and Justice--in an effort to better understand the reasons for the increase in the number of UAC arrivals and develop strategies for managing rising UAC costs,” says the HHS Budget in Brief.

So we pay to ‘ care” for these illegals but we want to cut what we give to our military?

sine they crossed from mexico send them back to mexico.
If mexico had done their job they never would have been able to cross the entire length of mexico to get here

I've always found it ironic that Belize, one of the only three countries in Central America with a functional government and economy, and the only one to share borders with both Mexico and Honduras, has almost zero problem with illegal immigrants for the simple reason that they enforce their own laws.

One would think a New Jersey sized country with an Oregon type population density would be an immigration magnet . . . and it is, but only because they carefully pick and choose who is welcome.

From what I understand Mexico has very harsh immigration policies on its southern border. If most of these children come from Central America, how did this happen? Gang members?

Gang members?
that could be since most of these’ children’ are over 14 and are male
I don’t see how thousands and thousands ( how many do OT get caught) traverse the entire length of mexico if they are broke

I was thinking if they are linked to Cartel or gangs they could bribe Mexican officials into letting them through.

Yes OR even just threaten the Mexican officials

which means that of we catch 12k at least 24k got through.
The cartels will want something from these “ children”/ thugs
and it won’t be good for us
