I learned that certain areas don't like to be called the Detroit area.

Particularly "Eastpointe", which changed its name from "East Detroit" about 20 yrs. ago.

I lived on the outskirts of Flint, where being confused with Detroit was considered an upgrade.

They are leaving...Im in minnesota....there are whole groups here...hookers dealers ect....just in from Detroit...its appears to be an exodus of some sort...imo

We used to say Detroit was the @sshole of Michigan and Flint was 60 miles up it.
