Richard Hammond, the host of the worlds leading motoring show Top Gear UK, enjoyed a unique ride, test-driving the brand new Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 at Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, the UAEs first mega waterpark.
A media statement said that Top Gear chose Yas Waterworld as the venue to host an exceptional underwater adventure and put the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 through its paces in the Yadi Yas Wave River, an over one metre-deep ride with steep curves and an exciting course.
Yas Waterworlds showcase on Top Gear, which recently aired on BBC UK, showcased its range of adventure and adrenalin-pumping activities and reinforced the mega-parks diverse capabilities reminding thrill seekers of its world-first and unique offering.
In addition to Yadi Yas, the park offers 45 rides, slides and attractions that will thrill the whole family. The park features rides and attractions that have never been seen before in waterparks, such as Dawwama, the worlds longest, fastest tornado waterslide; Liwa Loop, the regions first looping waterslide, and Bandit Bomber, the worlds first interactive water and laser rollercoaster.
Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi is the UAEs first mega waterpark, set across 15 hectares of the exciting entertainment complex that is Yas Island. Its award-winning theme based on an original story developed exclusively for the waterpark pays tribute to the Emirati culture with the UAEs pearl-diving heritage at the core.
So where’s the video?
At the site. Can we embed videos on FR?
I lived in Abu Dhabi back in the 80s. At that time there wasn’t a bloody thing to do there. Must be nice actually having stuff beyond dusty ill-maintained buildings.
Top Gear.. excellent show!
The Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 is officially on my “I want one” list. Not quite as high up as a Koenigsegg, but definitely in the top 10.
Not quite ‘underwater’, was it?
JP Morgan Chase has 255,000 employees
about half are men or about 127,500 men
the men who died were ages 37, and 39
the risk of death for men age 35-44 is 1 in 633
let’s say their overall age group is only 10% of the JPMorgan male staff, or 12,750 guys
out of 12,750 males 37-39, there’s a good probably 19 (12,750 / 633) will die in a yr
what is so strange about two; except to conspiracy theorists
mea culpa on the JP Morgan stuff on this thread
had two FreeRep sessions open at once
entered a post for one that belonged on the other
sorry

Interesting vehicle. Just the kinda thing I’d want to have if I lived in an unstable part of the world, and anticipated a potential need to “get out of Dodge” quickly, and off-road.
