Get a Blackberry or a smartphone that will allow you to encrypt your phone.

Also, isn’t your wife a nurse? My RN daughter gets us a 23% discount on Verizon (Methodist Women’s).

It has been interesting so far. 8 or 9 days ago they began pouring concrete and the trucks were coming and going from 3 different directions. I suppose they poured the base plus at least 3 locations for pylons or whatever they are called.

The next day after they poured so much cement, they were still at it tho there were only a couple of trucks at a time. The tower sections which were delivered before they even began have a diameter of around 6 feet more or less except they are triangular.

If they use helicopters I will take a lot of photos.

I'm not going to scroll down to see who said what, cause to me, the question is;

Why?

The second word of the product you mentioned is ... "phone" ... which is short for ... "telephone" ... which is a device you use to say, "Honey, I'll be home in a half ... need anything?" ...

and that's all it does.

Now, if you want a computer that you can't use unless you're absolutely still, using cokebottle glasses to see, trying to type with stubby fingers, I ask ...

Why?

Are you TRYING to go blind?

Drink Aqua Velva ... at least you get shitty drunk and stupid before lights out.

I honestly don't get the rage of all these hand held devices.
Very cool technology, but I think if I see one more fingernail trimmed to look like the end of a toothpick .....

Change land line to AT&T satalitte. Tech said their cell, land will soon have TV and WIFI available. Already use I phone as a hit spot for computer. 3-4G

Love my S4. It’s also my wireless access point for my lappy when I’m in the field. An iPhone5 is a very nice piece of technology as well and I don’t hesitate to recommend it even to Apple-haters. Both are a little larger than people who are transitioning from a non-smart phone are accustomed to but the increased screen size is a real comfort to these old eyes.

I’m thinking of upgrading as well. My next cell phone will have one of those GPS buttons, and plenty of memory for video. Video will save you money (like in a car accident) or even your life. It’s too easy to run out of memory.

Around 6 months ago, I changed my internet from dial-up (which was the only thing available until recently) to Hughes satellite. In order to get free installation, I had to sign a two year contract.

I am happy with their service but will be glad when the two years are over so I will have a lot more options.

If I get a cell phone, I will simply cancel my land line as I make no more than 3 or 4 calls a month. Most of my communications is via e-mail.

We tried BlueHorizon but their satalitte was so low and we were so down in the hollow it wouldn’t work. Bought a booster for cell phone at radio shack. Wilson makes one but mines an off brand.
Can always text and search the net. Usually get 3-4 bars on cell

+1 on whut you said.

The S5’s are now out? Great. Buy an S4. They are at least a hundred bucks cheaper and there is not that big a difference in what an S5 has and the S4 doesn’t.

Me, my wife and daughter all have S3’s. We got them last year when the S4’s were out. Me and the missus paid $50.00; the daughter’s was FREE.

Why pay $200 - $250 (or more) for the latest model when one year old technology is free or maybe $50.00?

T-Mobile...no contracts. The phones will be expensive but over two years...you will pay less.

With one small device I carry with me a camera, video camera, all my e-mails, GPS, sound recorder, note pad, flashlight and phone. Texting is an awesome way to communicate too. They have apps available to do a whole bunch of other things also. Maps, I always have a map with me. I used to think all these were unnecessary too but after having one for a while I won’t go back.
