In recent months ammunition has slowly begun appearing on store shelves at major retailers in the United States. But after nearly two years of shortages that had ammunition manufacturers running their factories 24 hours a day, 7 days a week because of consumer demand and massive government purchases, it appears that another supply pipeline may have been cut.

Sure it does. Go to Walmart early in the morning the day they get their shipments and watch all the private citizens snap it up in minutes. If you’re going to stores where it doesn’t hit the shelves, then they are reserving it for other customers.

You need to get a boat that doesn't tip over so easily.
They bring out the ammo on Saturday mornings, 7 am. I know the drill, it’s been going on for a year and a half. If you’re lucky, they get four or five 550 round boxes at a time and there’s a line 20 deep. Most days, they get nothing. 9mm is almost as bad, but not quite.
It’s not making it to the shelves. Anyone here who buys ammo can attest to this fact.

They’re made to handle that stuff. The chambers are so loose, you almost never need to clean those things.

I have adequate stores of all calibers and ample stock of some. If I were younger I might not say so.
I would like to have a few more boxes of 8mm Mauser that is not corrosive. Might could use a few more boxes of .380 but I shoot it so seldom that it doesn’t matter that much.
I am particularly well off in .22LR, 9mm and .177 pellets.
You shouldn’t have any problem getting .380. Walmart gets it weekly, and it usually lasts beyond the initial rush.
As a former Marine whose brother Marines were killed by AK’s, I refuse to own a Combloc weapon.
I think I only have 2 or 3 boxes of .380 but I almost never fire mine. Probably just not worry about it. If I were in my 20s I would get some more.
Glad I’m not running Ruski ammo. They can stick it all up there you know what. I heard a rumor Ukraine may have gazillions of that stuff stored in a mine. Might be a good time for them to dump it. An enterprising importer should check it out and if true head for Kiev to parlay.

22 magnum was easy to find as recently as Christmas - got a few thousand more rounds. A bit more pricey than the 22L, (and no gain in muzzle velocity, unfortunately, just noise and kick) but available. I and wife have three guns chambered in it.
I just picked up 420 rounds of M855 ball last week. I’ll grab another 420 at least this week. I may just grab a thousand. I’m well stocked on .45, 9 mm, .308, 500 mag. and 300 win mag too. I plan on spending a lot of time at the range this summer. I can’t wait. All this winter is killing me.
Doubt it. Both sides know whoever shoots first loses.
