Attorney Eugene Iredale, who represents the Alvarado family, said although the methamphetamine found in Tachiquin-Alvarados system was a significant amount, it may have been the result of diet medications or supplements.
Iredale also acknowledged that Alvarado did have a substance-abuse problem, which could account for the drug finding.
But Iredale said the new information about the 10 bullets, which caused 14 separate wounds, is more important.
He said details about the angle of travel of those bullets reveals that the agent shot Alvarado while standing in front of her car, not while he was being carried along on the hood of the vehicle.

She hit a full grown man without damage?
I want to say this shooting looks justified. I am noting that we’re reading a TV news report and as such, it is substandard and sloppy reporting and an average 3rd grader could write better, but overall ... justified.
I have little sympathy for people that burglarize my country.
It’s justified to gun down a woman in front of her vehicle? On what grounds?
If you watch the video the hood is dented in. Another article I read had an eye witness to the agent being on the hood. I never take a cop at his word any more but this strikes me as legitimate.
Ask yourself this question: How is it possible to stand in front of your vehicle AND at the same time be driving that vehicle at a police officer who is shooting you?
Bingo. You’re asking the right question.
Since the evidence is pointing to her being in front of the vehicle, the “she was driving at me, I had no choice” story looks questionable at best.
It would be nice to read a news report that actually makes sense. I HATE TV news journalism. By and large, drunk monkeys could produce a better more understandable report. And this article is par for the course.
That said - if in fact she was not in the vehicle when shot, forensic evidence could easily prove that. Was there blood in the car? Bullet fragments? Something busted out that windshield. Makes sense to me that she hit that cop and he shot her.
But reading lame-ass “reports” like this? We’ll never know.
