Toddsterpatriot: Is it because I took 15 minutes to refute your silly claim? The claim you had been making for months.
Of course not. Does your silence about the rest of the data mean that you acknowledge that the vast majority of the 14700 replications could NOT have been H202?
Since you have been so dishonest in the past, I hold no hope that you will honestly address this evidence.
What a fantastic post. I applaud it, especially since I posted the thread in the first place. Now all that remains is that you somehow prove that ALL of the 14720 replications (more since then) were due to H202. If I were charitable to your claim, there would be about 20 experiments that involve H202 as the input that could account for the energy deltas, so that simply shows that you have 14700 more to go. Best of luck with that.
That's silly. You said
The data on this phenomenon is very consistent the heat generated is several orders of magnitude more than could be possible with any known chemical reaction.
I disproved your claim on the very first "replication" I looked at.
Now you’re just talking bowlsheet. Explain away 14000 replications.

Yup. Maybe it does.
It’s a good book so far, I recommend it to anyone interested in this effect. It also has some good illustrations of the different types of cells and experiment setups.
I knew it took a long time for the P&F cell to produce excess heat but it took over 50 days for the power burst so anyone trying to recreate the effect needs to keep that in mind.
The controversy over the original P&F experiment not having a mechanical stirrer doesn’t make sense since they had control cells so not stirring the cells should have had the control cells have the power burst as well. The Baltimore meeting and the attack against both Pons and Fleischmann was really sleazy.
Okie doke, if you say so: Inconsistent non-reproducible experiments are the scientific way to prove hypotheses.
Straw argument. That ain’t what I said — you’re propping up a caricature of the argument so you can argue against it. Typical of the average skeptopath.
I agree that P&F were handled with sleaze. They did sorta shoot themselves in the foot a couple of times. Of course, hindsight is 20/20, so it’s easy to criticize them for mentioning the word “nuclear” or “fusion”. If they had said that it was a very strong unknown chemical reaction, they’d have broken through. But they were up against entrenched budget infighters that know how to destroy competitors.
That's exactly what they should have done. Nevertheless, even if any nuclear process was ruled out, there's still the effect of anomalous heat which should have been studied.
“I knew it took a long time for the P&F cell to produce excess heat but it took over 50 days for the power burst so anyone trying to recreate the effect needs to keep that in mind.”
P&F spent over $40 million trying to replicate it and they never could!

Oh. Do you realize that P&F got over $40 million to try to replicate it and they failed? Budget was not a problem.

Studied? P&F got their own lab and $40 million dollars to study ....
How many times does a FReeper have to ask until you stop posting to them?
