Pardon the vanity, but does anyone know if the old weekly "24" thread is still somewhere in the FR archives; and if so, is it going to be re-booted for the upcoming "24" mini-series?
I've searched, but haven't been able to locate it. It was lot's of fun live-blogging Jack Bauer's exploits every week. (Especially the "Freckles" epssodes...LOL)
not near the end of the run...they got pretty PC the last couple of seasons...
Thanks, Kirkwood! EUREKA!! (I failed to click the "search older articles" linky-thingy.)
the Americans is pretty good...better than the last 2 seasons of 24...24 was great the first couple of years then got very repetitive...
Justified is Great
I watched all of Breaking Bad in a 2 week period on Netflix and Amazon(last 8 episodes not released to Netflix yet)it is a gem.
Fox i missing a huge chance, replaying the early seasons showing a Black president, albeit fictional, actually governing, juxtaposed to the real _resident, albeit undocumented, being a clown.
Apparently the MC is the new man-bag.
“24: Live Another Day.” Premiere date is May 5 at 8 p.m.
'that's a car baby'
“...no way is The Americans better written (or acted) than 24...”
Well, I’m not going to argue with you, but we just started watching “the americans” and hubby and I like it a lot.
I’m a little annoyed we didn’t stick with it for the first season (I think we watched the 1st episode only) but we sort of know what’s going on now.
Hubby is very impressed with the disguises, the husband really had him fooled with his double life.
Of course we love 24 too and we’ll be watching without fail.
The first season of that show was one of the best ever. My kid had a friend whose parents started watching it on DVD and stayed up for a whole night and a day and watched it all on a super-marathon, not too many shows that would get to you like that!
The Americans might be fun to watch but the BB storyline does not interest me. I guess I just like seeing terrorists die.
Re your tagline:
My grandfather used to say: “Well, when I got up this morning, I had nothing to do. And now that the days over, I only got half of it done.”
