“The Dexter Patch” is an hilarious name. “Dexter Morgan” is the name of the fictional serial killer who’s the protagonist in the just discontinued Showtime serial “Dexter.”

Since I'm not familiar with the TV show, I can't really appreciate the joke. But I can tell you that the town of Dexter, Michigan has probably been in existence since the nineteenth century. It just happens to be Ms. Boonstra's home town, so the left-leaning e-newspaper wrote this article to retaliate against her for her public criticism of Obamacare.

I doubt that the ownership of the "Dexter Patch" had the TV series in mind when they thought up that name, although I could be wrong.

It’s a cool series. Dexter works for the homicide division of the Miami, FL PD as a blood spatter technician and moonlights as a very productive serial killer who only kills other murderers who’ve escaped justice. Right now you can catch all eight seasons on either Netflix or the Showtime on Demand channel. Good entertainment that will last you for a long time.
