You have to have a special caste that is inherently good.
Otherwise it all falls apart logically. If the environment shapes the person, and we don’t have the perfect environment, then we don’t have any perfect people.
But without any perfect people, how can we build the perfect environment?
I know, and I totally agree...I always see that comparison as it plays out in our system of government versus, the ones Dave and I just mentioned...I’ve made your statement a bevy of times....

My “benchmark lib” asserts that people only act badly in response to threats. So why are those who are threatening them doing so?
Usually the answer isn’t logically consistent, like “those with power/money exploit those without” or something, which begs the question as to why they would do such a thing if people only act badly (ie, threaten others) if they are threatened.
I never can, and never will, get a logically consistent response, because it simply doesn’t exist.
Access issues, property issues, noise issues, litter issues, "being out at night", too many cops in town, etc. This is a fairly small town, fishing access is really limited, and some of the people here are serious dickheads when they see us fishermen. Snooty dicks who think they are rich.
