A Knoxville man allegedly chose the wrong store Victoria's Secret in the Kingsport Town Center and the wrong time as an off-duty cop was shopping with his girlfriend to steal 59 pairs of panties and 22 yoga pants.
The Scott County officer gave chase after witnessing the suspect dash out with a bag full of the items, valued at $1,329, and apprehended him in the parking lot outside the mall.

The question is not how many pairs he stole but whom was in them when he did???
That works out to sixteen bucks a panty!
Speaking of Victoria’s Secret; why is panties plural and brasierre singular?
He should claim to be transgender to receive a reduced sentence.
Arrestee: "Who said I have a girlfriend?"
I really hope they don’t leak the dressing room video.
Is that all you have to wonder about?

I love a happy ending.
Reminds me of a case recently, of an attempted bank robbery. An armed off duty cop, who just happened to be in the bank taking care of his own personal banking business, got the attempted robber. I like to see the bad guys get what they deserve.
No. See post 8. I wonder about THAT too.
Wild and Crazy Upper East Tennessee.
The bad thing about this - we have plenty enough crazies up in Upper East. Now crazies from Middle East (Knoxville) are coming up in here to do craziness.
We do not need to import more craziness.
Same line that makes the $20/pair Victoria's secret panties, also makes the 3/$1 bargain bin ones at Walmart.
Only differences are in the materials. And there's not $19.67 worth. :-)
WOW! Do you think there is a chance? I really want to see that! :)
I have an alibi.
Wow 81 items and only $1300, he was gunning for the cheap stuff. If you’re not paying for it anyway go high end.
