Arizona says “Neigh” to Small Businesses
American Legislative Exchange Council ^ | Audrey Williams

eleste Kelly, Grace Granatelli and Stacey Kollman discovered a profitable niche in the animal therapy market when they found they could turn their passions into successful small businesses. They spent hundred of hours learning animal massage techniques, earned private certification and began their respective animal therapy ventures. Today, they have successful businesses and loyal clients.

However, according the Arizona State Veterinary Medical Examining Board, Celeste, Grace, and Stacey are criminals facing jail time. A recent Arizona regulation requires these hardworking entrepreneurs to give up their professions, or pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to become licensed veterinarians (an education that excludes massage therapy training). If they do neither, it’s off to jail.

They found a way to generate a business that did not have to bow down to state authorities and their regulations. The bureaucracy could not let that happen.

There is going to be a populist uprising in this country the likes of which have never been seen before.

Industrious people who want to control their own destinies are getting damn tired of the heavy hand of government thwarting them at every turn.

In AZ you have to have a permit/license to do just about anything pertaining to business. And in some cases, you cant get the proper insurances to cover your business.
That is why there are a lot of cash only people running around doing stuff down here.

State regulation of “professions” is seriously out of control, as we see here. It’s like Mideval guilds all over again.

state doesn’t have license to pull if they so desire, and they have no yearly FEE to government to keep said license.

I don't believe that even barbers or beauty shop operators should be licensed by gov. if they have crappy service, they won't be i n business long anyway. Just another money grab by the states.
