President Obama warns youth: Sign up for Obamacare or we will charge you a penalty

President Obama warned young people that if they don't sign up for Obamacare by March 31, they will face a penalty -- if they can afford it.

During an interview with radio host Ryan Seacrest, Obama explained that young people might be charged a fine if they don't get insured.

"If you can afford it — you just decide you don't want to get it because your attitude is 'nothing's ever going to happen to me' — then you'll be charged a penalty," Obama explained.

Obama was careful to specify that people who can't afford Obamacare will not suffer a penalty, thanks to a "hardship exemption," but encouraged everyone to sign up.

"[Y]ou never know what kind of curveballs life throws at you,” he warned.

That’s not a warning. It’s a threat!

“Nice kneecaps you got there, kid. Be shame if something happened to ‘em.”

As all parents of teenagers know, this works real well.

I read months ago that the only way the IRS can collect it is if you are owed a federal income tax refund at the end of the year. If you have to pay, they have no mechanism to collect. This faded away pretty quickly...is it true?

On Fri 3/14 I had to drive forty miles to Roseville which is on the
outskirts of Sacramento to pick-up some meds at the Kaiser
pediatric clinic pharmacy. The area which is off North Sunrise Bl
is a rather modern commercial office/retail section of town. To
my surprise in front of an office I passed two ladies sitting at a
table. They had a sign that read “IMPEACH OBAMA” and several
large posters of Obama complete with Hitler mustaches placed
above the upper lip. I needed to get the meds back to the group
home where I work or I would have stopped. I’ve been in the
hospital for a few weeks for intestinal problems. What in hell
have I missed? Is this going on around the country?

The law is what Obama says it is.

But he failed to realize that no one cares.

He’s lying again. He just waived his magic dictator’s wand and granted EVERYONE an exemption from paying the obamacare fine; from UPI yesterday:

“The Department of Health and Human Services released a seven page bulletin Wednesday announcing the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ decision to extend the transitional policy of the Affordable Care Act by two years, to Oct. 1, 2016.

Effectively, this makes the individual mandate — the requirement that all individuals purchase insurance by the end of March or face a tax penalty — considered by many to be the backbone of the Affordable Care Act, an option one can opt out of rather than a requirement.

The transitional policy allows for hardship exemption from the tax penalty if an individual can’t afford to sign up for coverage. Previously, exemptions were only offered in extreme cases — such as bankruptcy, eviction, or homelessness — and required documentation, while the current language allows users to seek exemption if they “consider other available policies unaffordable” or if they “experienced another hardship in obtaining health insurance,” and only requires “documentation if possible.” “

There is nothing worse than a bossy faggot.

"Bossy" and "Faggot." There's two words that the left wishes to eliminate from the vocabulary, so you won't be able to say that in a clear, succinct manner.

White House Budget May Reduce Patient Access to Medical Imaging

News | March 12, 2014 | Practice Management
By Diagnostic Imaging Staff

The new White House budget may adversely affect patient access to advanced medical imaging technologies, according to a release issued by the Access to Medical Imaging Coalition (AMIC).

President Obama’s 2015 budget not only tries to close a loophole in the anti-self-referral law by eliminating the In-Office Ancillary Services Exception for diagnostic imaging, radiation oncology, physical therapy and anatomic pathology, but the budget plan also recommends prior authorization for power mobility devices and advanced imaging.

“President Obama’s budget threatens patient access to care and important imaging services through burdensome prior authorization requirements,” Tim Trysla, exectutive director of AMIC, said in a release. The organization would prefer to see adoption of physician-developed appropriate use criteria (AUC), which has been proven effective in driving appropriate imaging use.

The American College of Radiology (ACR) is also opposed to the budget plan.

“Numerous studies have shown prior authorization increases medical costs and administrative red tape while burdening patients and physicians with potential treatment delays,” the College stated.

The Medical Imaging & Technology Alliance (MITA) had already expressed concern over preauthorization in 2013, in response to the 2014 budget, which also called for pre-authorization, stating in a release: “This provision was included in spite of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB)’s acknowledgement that a prior authorization policy will yield no savings.”

A study published in the Journal of the American College of Radiology in June 2011 evaluated the utility of radiology benefit managers (RBMs) and results showed that relying on RBMs to conduct prior authorization for advanced imaging increased costs and red tape, which placed additional burdens on clinicians and potentially delayed treatment.
