There is no story.
This guy is looking at an online database of the towns assessor. The data base shows a common date, 12/25/09 and the amount of $0 for the last “sale” field.
Having worked with databases for years, you often need to put in a default date when building the records. What dates would you use as a “dummy” date? Usually Christmas or New Years. Christmas works because it usually stands out in your mind when it’s written. When you see it, you stop and pay attention.
My guess is this web site used a data dump from a computerized system. Where there are homes that haven’t sold since the start of the use of this data base, the dummy date was dropped in there.
This is a video from someone with way too much time on their hands.
I just checked. It still shows the same things.
I smell a communist fish in this story.
Obviously the author is requesting some kind of protection, but not against traitors and shake down artists like Lanza, but into some sort of conspiracy of money... hmm...

This occurs when there is a nominal transfer (change of name on the deed). It us possible that the City of Sandy Hook installed a new assessor computer program in 2009 and this is the way existing records were recorded in the new system.
Your explanation makes way too much sense, thus it must be rejected by most, LOL.
It might be interesting to cross-reference these homes with the “dead children’s” home addresses.
Also—investigate those homes that WERE NOT paid off. What’s with them?
