"For pulled pork, Payne’s in Memphis."

This.

Best sammich ever!

Here's my take on it. Got close with the meat, but have yet to replicate that neon yellow slaw.

Mmmmm........good sammich.

Kansas City has the best BBQ in the US.
Fiorella’s Jack stack. Is the best. In KC. They have the best burnt ends in town, my favorite sandwich is the poor russ which is chopped up burnt ends on a bun. The beans are to die for as is their cheesy corn side.

Oklahoma Joes has the Z-Man. Also very good.

I think the same thing about Bryant’s... Very over rated. Hayward’s now is under new ownership. In 1981 the had the best Sandwich.

I used to love Dobb’s in Dothan, Alabama.

When you were in the neighborhood, did you ever try Iron City Barbecue, across the river in Iron City, GA?

Bit different from most places...the barbecued pork is barbecued fresh (i.e., uncured) ham. Incredibly tender and very tasty.

There’s a Cooper’s in Llano, Fort Worth, and New Braunfels. I’ve only been to the one in Llano.

"What about the one in Junction?"

And I believe there is a Cooper's in Mason, as well.

I don’t think I ever ate there but remember the place. Unfortunately Iron City was just off hwy. 84, just enough that I usually just drove on by.

Shealy was a heck of a nice guy too. Last I heard he was an attorney in Dothan.
