The 1 officer who stands between you and militarized police

In 2012, state lawmakers in Delaware – with the support of Attorney General Beau Biden, son of Vice President Joe Biden – pushed through legislation that redefined the duties of sheriffs and their deputies to that of process servers and prisoner transport. The legislation stripped them of all arrest authority to the point where animal control and the game warden had more authority.

Christopher and other supporters of the constitutional role of the sheriff, however, are fighting back.

“The battle of liberty is never over. We are attempting to get a constitutional amendment on the ballot overturning the law stripping us of our arrest authority.”

At the time, Obama refused to elaborate on what he meant. As his administration has unfolded, however, gradual steps have been implemented to increase the police power of the federal government.

In 2011, WND founder Joseph Farah noted with the defense re-authorization bill the president secured the authority to essentially use his security force whenever he desires.

“The ‘civilian national security force’ is now in place. The U.S. military has been authorized by Congress and Obama to arrest and detain indefinitely without charge or trial any U.S. citizen on suspicion of being a terrorist. The only one who can override the order is Obama himself,” Farah wrote.

Cooke said he is aware of Obama’s call for a civilian national security force, but he sees a major flaw in the president’s plan.

“Fortunately he has not been able to do it yet, and I don’t think the sheriff’s across the country will allow it to happen.”

one of the goals of the nwo folks in america are to get rid of sheriffs. they can techically refuse to allow federal agents to operate in their counties, as the top lawman - and the only folks with total jurisdiction across the whole county.

never give up your sheriffs.

I've heard that myth before, but never seen any legal support for it. Sheriffs aren't mentioned anywhere in the U.S. Constitution. The Supremacy Clause is.

Sheriff Joe is being watched by the Feds. A Leftist judge decreed that he and his deputies were racially profiling and now must be babysat by a Fed minder.

The Supremacy Clause is also limited by the 10th Amendment, as well as the fundamental power structure of the Constitution itself.

What's going on here derives from the incorporation powers of the 14th Amendment, and the presumption justifications derived from the Act of 1871 and the Slaughterhouse Cases, among other things.

This is our plan, our goal and our quest. We are forming the Constitutional Peace Officers Association which will unite all public servants and sheriffs, to keep their word to uphold, defend, protect, preserve, and obey the Constitutions of the United States of America. We already have hundreds of police, sheriffs, and other officials who have expressed a desire to be a part of this Holy Cause of Liberty.

We are going to train and vet them all, state by state, to understand and enforce the constitutionally protected Rights of the people they serve, with an emphasis on State Sovereignty and local autonomy. Then these local governments will issue our new Declaration to the Federal Government regarding the abuses that we will no longer tolerate or accept. Said declaration will be enforced by our Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers. In short, the CSPOA will be the army to set our nation free. This will guarantee this movement remains both peaceful and effective.

In the Mack/Printz ruling, the Supreme Court ruled, “But the Constitution protects us from our own best intentions.” The only thing we lack to make this principle a reality is the people who are devoted enough to make it so. The sheriffs and police are the answer.

The Founders of America pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor to establish liberty here in the USA. To keep it, we the People must do likewise.

Thomas Jefferson said, “Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of liberty.” The CSPOA will unite the sheriffs, police, and local officials who are willing and courageous enough to join us in the “tempestuous sea of liberty.” I am asking you to join with us.

1. Vote locally for Republicans who will immediately lower local taxes.

2. Meanwhile states and the feds continue to raise taxes.

3. "Smart" local Republicans try to get some of their state and federal tax money back by applying for grants.

4. States and Fed gladly give money to local Republicans in exchange for all sorts of rules and conditions.

5. Republicans win election after election by complaining about state and federal mandates they can do nothing about.

6. States and Fed tighten the noose and the local Republican-run city is no different than the one next door run by the Democrats.

It is becoming Government vs the people rather than government for and by the people and it has been going on for many years.

Does any one wonder why Obama won the election? could it be because people thought that since he was half black he might be able to relate to the average American and also since half of his people were former slaves he would be more concerned with freedom than the stuffed shirts in Washington.

But as it turned out those who voted on him now realize that he is more Kenyan than American so how would he relate to an American.

Well at any rate i still have some trust in our county law enforcement but none what so ever in state or federal, some individuals yes but as a unit no.

But do our locals need armored cars and tanks? no.

And Sheriff Joe, much as we love his spirit, is not a young man. My guess is they’re riding this one out.

True, he is not a young man, but you are only as young as you feel and Joe is not about to give up. He is contemplating running for governor.

There’s 3143 counties and county equivalents in the United States. Only 483 sheriff’s stepped up to wave the flag. We’re hurting worse than I thought we were!
