A black lady on Twitter the other night said something to the effect of “The GOP doesn’t have a good record with blacks, but remember the Democrats have done nothing for us either.”
The old “by giving them 95% of our votes, we have no power” argument.
Judging by the responses she got from other blacks, they know only one thing: conservatives are racists who hate them.
It’s transparent that they are manipulated by this phantom hatred into voting for Dems.
And the pathetic idea overall is that the government is supposed to do something for one group. What does the government do for ME???? I don’t say “hey what does the government do on a daily basis for this white woman?” - I look at Americans overall benefitting from our military and the government overseeing our monetary system of commerce. Expecting something just for blacks or just for gays or just for women is childish and dividing.
People like that identify with an ethnic/racial/or other group first and as Americans last. As long as they have that mindset, they will never be anything but ignorant and selfish, no matter what else they do.
I’d prefer to see any group thinking that way to go to some state that will agree with them, and get it-and them-out of this country-and that does include those who insist that government should continue to legislate morals, because they can’t see how that has brought us to this debacle we are in. They simply must have everyone believe just like them or by God, be legislated, punished, etc. That isn’t the America I was brought up to love and be willing to die for if the need came...
