Attorneys for New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning are asking a judge to dismiss a lawsuit brought against him by a New Jersey sports memorabilia dealer. [ ]
The memorabilia dealer from Short Hills (Eric Inselberg) filed suit in January against Manning and other people, accusing them of doctoring jerseys, helmets and other equipment to make it look as though theyd been used during play.

the sports company was selling counterfiet jerseys and it’s the players fault?

Yes if his story is true. He was getting the merchandise direct from the players/Giants. They lied saying it was game worn when it was not for extra $. The sports company was just the middle man selling it for little extra profit.
It looks like the player was one of many people accused of doctoring the equipment.
I had not noticed but then I hardly ever watch the NFL any more.
I do remember an Auburn QB named Jimmy Sidle who had a serious twitch while under center. May have been a neck injury, I have no idea. He was a great QB too. I guess around 1963.
What a racket.
