Oh, LOL! That is so silly!
I’ve had three basset hounds and they are incredibly, and adorably, entertaining. Whenever someone asks, “Why do you like them so much?” I just respond, “It’s the face, man. It’s the face.”
Aside from that, they are friendly and loving, and make great watchdogs. And anyone who thinks they are dumb is smoking pixie dust. They are indoor-outdoor and very child-friendly.
For anyone considering a dog, I would recommend a basset hound without reservation.
