A mother-of-ten punched her oldest son in the face in front of police officers, after he came out as gay at a family party.
Emma Green, 37, launched a tirade of homophobic abuse at her son Scott when he told her he was in a relationship with another man.
The family party then descended into a chaotic brawl and Green—who called her son a “dirty queer”—punched him in the face in front of police officers who had been called.

Three cheers for the Mom. Nothing homophobic about it, pure shame is probably how she felt.
I am Catholic and don’t agree with the homosexual lifestyle, but this is her son. Despite his public announcement, she needed to talk to him in private and tell him she doesn’t believe in how he is going to live his life. Then she needs to tell him that she still loves him regardless. Pushing her son away is not going to help. Let him know you don’t agree, but pray for him, love him, and be there for him.

I disagree with most posters here. She can disagree with his choice and tell him that. She can kick him out. But she can’t punch or otherwise assault him. She should be charged.
Dont forget to add that if he does make it to older age he has a good chance of his rectum falling out occassion and it will have to be manually inserted.

Probably correct, but not overly surprising. Probably started popping out little bundles of tax payer paid babies at around 17, so that gives her 20 years of income growth and a good income steam for years.
I wish the homosexuals would understand that many straight people find the very idea of ‘being in a relationship,’ with someone of the same sex is disgusting.
I am not talking about it being a learned response via Bible teaching of religion. I am talking about it being a genetic, visceral response.
While they claim they can’t help how they feel, well a lot of straight people can’t help how we feel either. It’s genetic and how God created us.
Should she have restrained herself from hitting her adult son? I guess so, but speaking to him later in private likely would have ended the same way. He came out in public, she rebuked him in public. Her son likely escalated the issue by going all activist on her.
He could have walked out of the family get together, he chose to stay after his ‘coming out,’ expecting it to be HIS party. He had to know how his Mom felt about such matters. In fact, that is most likely why he chose a public outing thinking he would avoid her wrath. He likely was too stupid to have had a bail-out plan and kept pushing her to accept that which she abhors.
Like all the times we read such things, it is the ‘gay’ person who creates the circumstance and then the rest of us are supposed to just accept it. And the press just goes along with making the son out to be the victim here, when I feel it is the son who disrespected his mother, disrespected her home, and grossly underestimated his own mother’s natural feelings.
And what if her name had been Fatima or Aisha?
She probably reacted in a fit of rage when the selfish SOB took that opportunity to announce to everyone he is a homosexual.
THAT is incredibly inconsiderate of her son to do that to her, but then again, many homosexuals are completely self-centered, and how their actions affect anyone else isn’t their problem.
I think you can hate the sin and love the sinner and I don’t celebrate her punching her son, but she is pretty much a loser no matter how you slice it. 37 with ten kids and on welfare. From reading the story, she sounds like she was trying to party like a teenager. She is pretty disgusting as well as her self-centered son.

question: the boy stated that he was in a ‘relationship’ with a man, presumably sexual since it is all about the gay...how old is this ‘man’ and doesn’t that mean sex with a minor? i thought that was illegal?
