Just wondering what would happen....never say never, right? How tepid would the USA react?
What if Putin said he just wanted "this island" of Alaska's, or "that small region"?
He might say Peter the Great did not represent the will of the Russian people when he sold the land to William Seward on behalf of the United States....
What would the nation do? What would the regime do? What would you do?
I don't think Putin would do this...frankly, as weak as I think Team Obama is, THIS would be enough to push them into military action.

Alaska is probably promised to whoever owns our debt. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that our nature resources are used as collateral.
If Obama becomes any more tyrannical, Alaska would vote for secession. haha

I would imagine the 600,000 residents of Alaska might have something to say about that.

You are probably correct. Even this loser of a president might draw the line there, but I think Putin might try anyway short of military action just to distract and preoccupy us.
I wonder if Obama is regretting his “Flexibility after the election” promise he made the Russians.

I believe there’s a level or coordination between Washington and Moscow that we can’t even fathom.
