Deadline Hollywood puts the best spin they can on the disastrous season finale ratings for HBO's impossibly low-rated series "Girls." Deadline calls the a dismal 670,000 viewers "steady." Yeah, "steady" in the same way the Titanic steadily sank. After three airings Sunday night, "Girls" averaged only a million viewers.
If you are looking for a reference point, the season finale of "True Detective" averaged 11 million viewers.
Not beholden to ratings, and obviously eager to not the pop the bubble of a small group of elite urban provincials who have spent three years trying to convince themselves "Girls" is not a catastrophic flop, HBO renewed "Girls" for a fourth season.
Star and creator Lena Dunham once again benefits from HBO's affirmative action program for exhibitionist, left-wing one-percenters.

Unfortunately, no. Even though the ratings are in the toilet, HBO just signed her up for a fourth season.
Guess there aren’t enough Lesbians to watch.
Brasilian soap operas used to be considered a form of torture in Europe and throughout South America. I’ve seen them, I know it was true in the 90’s. Not so much now.
I did see five minutes of “girlz” though. A slovenly, fat cottage cheese ball with questionable hygiene who sleeps around does not a series make. It’s a viable diarrhetic in its current form, but it’s not entertainment. I’d submit that we have once again excelled past Brasil, and not in a good way.
Maybe in the Fourth Season she’ll fulfill her greatest dream and...get it on with her clone.
My cable company had a free HBO weekend and I had the unfortunate experience of watching part of an episode. Lena Dunham joins Miley Cyrus and Justin Beiber to make a trash trifecta.
The only way to ptll HBO out now is real Westerns. Tough guys that will kill at the drop of a hate.
Who is Lena Dunham and why should I care?
Working on a project, I had the misfortune of being stuck in a hotel for seven weeks that offered six HBO channels. At any given moment, at least two (and usually more) of those channels had on either this show, the gay show (don’t know the name), or Bill Maher. It isn’t about ratings. It is about indoctrination.
Finally, Lena Dunham’s career is over. She’ll be in a house of ill repute in no time.
Nobody. And you shouldn’t.
Guess again. HBO just signed her for another season.
Why? The show is a turkey. Another case of ‘not who you know, but who you blow’????
For some oddball reason the libs who run HBO think a show about whiny, big city, lib females and their pathetic lives would be interesting to people not remotely like big city, whiny, lib females. Showtime isn’t much better. They regularly put on sex-themed series focusing on homosexuals believing the rest of the country is obsessed with the lives of those weirdos.
HBO doesn’t care about ratings, just subscribers
And they get those with “Game of Thrones”
