INDIANAPOLIS - Governor Mike Pence has signed a bill allowing guns to be locked in cars on school property as long as they are hidden and in the parking lot.

(snip)

The bill also addresses firearm buyback programs, allowing that firearms may be destroyed to be sold to a salvage company or for recycling, and that buyback programs can be conducted with private funds or grants.

How would they know?

This alleviates a very tiny amount of stress for me. Finally, I won’t have to worry about whether or not I am a criminal when I have to visit my kids’ private school.

as a commenter on the site noted, it’s already legal for a permit holder to have a gun if they stay in the car.

But if, for some reason, you have to exit your car or go into the building, you would have to take the gun off the property before you could do so.

Everyone should read the comments at the bottom of the article. The intelligence from opposing views presents and incredible contrast. And some of the comments are so ridiculous as to provide some comic relief.

Here’s the problem. The gun-control guy (no doubt a transplant from the Northeast that came there looking for a job) says the following:

“I believe guns belong at home,” said Don White, heading to the Pacers game with his son.

Actually, NO!!! He doesn’t believe that for a minute. No...he wants LESS GUNS or NO GUNS, other than in the hands of the police and military. He just knows enough not to say it NOW.

Another day, another win that advances the restoration of our gun rights in America.

People have seen with an empty holster in the building, so guess what happens.
