MADISON (WKOW) -- A 30th birthday party ends early after a the party's organizer punches the DJ, and destroys his equipment because of his song selections.

Actually, it’s St. Paddy’s day. Never St. Patty’s. Paddy is the common nickname for Padraig, the Irish/Gaelic equivalent of Patrick. There are numerous Irish songs, reels, jigs, and hornpipes with Paddy in the title i.e. “Paddy On The Turnpike,” “Paddy In London” etc.

Rather Richie than Bobby Goldsboro. Having to listen to “Honey” or “Watching Scotty Grow” could cause a full-scale riot. “Muskrat Love” by the Captain and Tennille would be another mayhem inducer.

It all started when the 34-year old Madison woman began yelling about the DJ's song selection Instead of yelling, she should have made a polite request, saying "Please, Mr. Disc Jockey..."
