Excuse me, water absorbs and emits in the infra red region just like CO2. The question is how the energy is transferred to the rest of the atmosphere, (N2,O2 etc). That is almost entirely by vibrational and translational energy exchange (convection and conduction).

Keep that away from Al Gore otherwise next thing you know water will be rationed and we’ll have to pay “water credits” every time we go to the beach. I remember reading something once that stated there are more dust mites in the atmosphere than CO2 LOL! They said even in the high atmosphere you will find them. Don’t know if that is true, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was. Actually I doubt it is true because it would mean we would be breathing in dust mites all the time BLAH!
