No matter what the occasion
Or what they intend to say
Obama and his minions rely
On some trope-of-the-day

One says “I promise you”
Or “as far as we can tell”
Either way, it lets you know
Everything is going to hell

And when Obama says “period”,
Whatever he said was a lie-
Pissing red state senators off
As they smell their bacon fry...

Jamas he yo visto tal locura...

Nunca veo eso-es gracioso?

What is it really about? From the comments here-boning aunt Robin, depressing, being a jerk, I thought it was in endless syndication, etc, it doesn’t sound like it is...

Yes, with the car. Backing up in the driveway.

The plot point was the several minutes he spent contemplating whether to call an ambulance or not.

It was a good show. It had its ups and downs, as any show will that gets popular and stays on the air a season or two longer than it should have.

The premise was of a dad, in the year 2030, explaining to his two children how he met their mother. Said mother is never actually seen until the last episode of the penultimate season. She is not given a name, nor do we see the actual meeting until the final episode, last night.

In the pilot episode, we see Ted courting Robin. One is led to believe that this is the titular “mother” until the very end of the pilot, where he calls her (the kids’) “Aunt Robin.”

The series then follows hopeless romantic Ted as he comes close to marriage and goes through several relationships. He hangs out with his best bud from college, his wife, Robin and Barney, the inveterate womanizer.

(-: Jamás vemos sitcomedias más populares hasta que se repiten en NickAtNite. :-)

Even then, for many of these shows it's a matter of "Same tro[i]pe, Different title" ...

so listen to this, T5. Our kitchen was remodeled in mid Sept, right? well the cabinets [thomasville] within the past few months, had this edge of NONcolor appear on the edges of the front panels. Called Mr B to show him, he had the rep from Home Depot and the manufacturer rep both come to our house today to look at them. The mfr rep spoke to me via phone to say this has been the coldest winter in years, and that the wood has experienced shrinkage. so because the wood shrunk it left unstained areas at the edge. She said they will def replace all of them immediately if we want. But she said this is a problem that should correct itself as the weather warms and more humidity gets into the air. The call is ours to make. We don’t have to decide today we can think it over. I talked to Mr B afterwards, he said he asked her, who pays for the LABOR COST of taking the doors off and replacing them? She said that they will only provide the replacement doors, labor cost is on the homeowner. So while our original inclination was, replace them now, we will wait. The other thing is, they will replace only those doors which show the problem. She said it looks to you like a defect, but it is in fact not a defect, it is a condition that should resolve itself. So the possibility arises that the color of the stain may be off as between the replaced doors and the ones that did not have the issue. The intermediate step is for them to provide a touchup kit which Mr B can use to correct the perceived defect and wait to see if the change in weather will correct the problem. so, as we do not want to be out more $$$ to replace something that certainly isn’t our fault or what we bargained for, that’s what we will do. She assures me that her competitors are all dealing with the same issue. Between this and the damn Kohler overpriced faucet issues, i am disgusted.

I think you should buy cheap stuff. That way, when it gets screwed up, you can say “at least it was cheap.” ;-)

These cabinets are not in your garage. And you presumably have insulation in your walls. And your house is kept at, like 78 degrees.

So it sounds like BS to me.

In the pilot episode, we see Ted courting Robin. One is led to believe that this is the titular “mother” until the very end of the pilot, where he calls her (the kids’) “Aunt Robin.”

I read that had it lasted only the intial season then Robin would have been the mother.

Also had they ended it on the Stella season, she would have been. Of course that could all have been smoke and mirrors to protect the ending (that a lot of people had guessed about the mother's fate)

i told her exactly that, that i found it hard to believe bc the cabinets were not exposed to the elements and that we keep the house at 76-78 deg. she said she understood that i could not understand it, but that it truly was the case. nothing to be lost by waiting, they will honor the warranty if we decide later that they never did get back to what they were supposed to be. as it is we will have to pay for Mr. B to do the touching up etc. He wanted to use silicone to keep them in place, that was his original reaction but she said no, if he did that he would void the warranty, and that the wood needs to be able to move to get back to where it was. she said once the wood has gone through an entire cycle, it would not reoccur. who knows, it is beyond annoying, but nothing to be done about it.

“Several minutes he spent contemplating whether to call an ambulance or not.”

Aha! That really sounds like a novella-I saw a scene like that one night recently in a series on Telemundo-except the supposedly loving husband dithered for a few minutes after someone shot his wife...

The series y’all watched sounds like it had a lot of plot twists and turns...

the other concern is that we have a wedding coming up in 5 months, and there will be entertaining involved with that over the coming months and i do not want another construction site in my kitchen!

Nah, there is no way Robin could be the mother after the pilot.

Stella or Victoria, maybe.

I hope the kids knew they were bastards before Dad’s story about missing out on the castle wedding.

I’ve never heard of such a thing-I can’t picture wood shrinking like that in a controlled environment, and I can’t see stain as a solid object-but that is just my take-it sounds like a manufacturing screw up to me.

If I were you-get the touch up matching stain, find a place to test it on the inside of one of the doors, a side that is not visible, or a shelf. Be sure to let it dry completely between coats-if more than one is required-and to dry for 24 hours before you pronounce judgment on the match. If you are unhappy, go to plan “B”, and make the manufacturer aware that they have an unhappy lawyer for a customer...

Gee, I was unaware you didn’t heat your home during the coldest winter in years. (Her answer sounds like bullhockey to me)
