Police in Texas have said they believe that an 85-year-old died about a savage attack by two pit-bulls inside her own home on Monday.
Dorothy Hamilton was found by her son lying in the living room of her home in Kaufman along with two 'very large and aggressive' dogs.
Authorities said that her son had been keeping the dogs in a bedroom in the house for several months and they appear to have broken through the door and attacked Hamilton.
However, police have ordered an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death as neighbors revealed the dogs have a history of violent behavior.

I'm sure Lincoln would have something very astute to say about that had he genuinely been a 20th Century President (not the wannabe fake & pathetic puppet who can't decide to emulate Roosevelt or Lincoln)...

I think that today's medical teams try to save everyone. In Lincoln's time NOT everyone was saved, good, bad, smart and ignorant. People "let go" more readily because they knew there was no recourse.
I just recalled, since you got me thinking about it, that there was a largish movement about reproductive rights some years ago and the outcome was that everyone has the right to procreate. That included the mentally ill, incompetent, Downs Syndrome people--everyone.
I can remember being appalled.
