I hope I am posting this in the right area. I don't post much, but am asking for your thoughts and prayers for my 13 year old son who is about to go through his 2nd kidney transplant due to FSGS. He has been battling this since he was 3 years old.
My son, Joshua will be admitted to the hospital this morning for surgery to install a catheter into his neck/chest and also shut down his transplanted kidney that he received from his dad 3 years ago. He will then stay at the hospital for the next few weeks to do dialysis and plasma pheresis, along with a few other things.
This is all in preparation for his scheduled kidney transplant to happen April 22nd. They are following this protocol to try and stop his disease from coming back once I donate my kidney to him. We knew after the first transplant that he had a 50/50 chance of the disease returning, and with each subsequent transplant, the odds get worse.
I ask that you keep him in your thoughts and prayers, that first and foremost his surgeries go well, that this transplant is a success, and finally that the FSGS does not return to claim his new kidney. He will be in the hospital for over a month which I hope goes fast so that my family can be back together soon. Thank you.

Heavenly Father, we ask that Your comforting, healing hand be upon Joshua and his family through this trial. All your children are tested, yet we know You will be with them every step of the way. Give the doctors, nurses, surgeon; all those who care for Joshua and his family, wisdom, knowledge, understanding and the skill they need to bring Joshua to total healing. Encourage their hearts and increase their faith to trust You completely. May You be glorified through this family. Amen.
Dear Heavenly Father, We ask You today to heal our little brother, Joshua. Please comfort him, Lord. Surround his family with Your Love and Compassion. Diminish their fears and strengthen their faith and resolve. In This I Pray. Amen.

We thank you, Lord, that Your angels keep watch over children day and night. We thank you that Your plans for Joshua are for good, not evil, to give him a future and a hope.
Be with the medical staff that will be in charge of the surgery. Guide their hands. We rebuke every germ or virus that may lurk in the hospital in the name of Jesus.
Bind fear and anxiety from the entire family. May God’s peace and rest be over every one of them.
We stand on God’s promises: By His stripes we were healed. Jesus won the victory.
You promise, Lord, to perfect everything that concerns Joshua.
