Darn - I thought I was the only one to notice that!
In writing a report I HATE it when I end up with one or two lines of a paragraph on the next page. Change margins, shorten sentences, etc.
It is even worse when there are a few sentences on the last page.
And I get it just right and then make some edits that screw it all up.
Or - the client makes edits that screw it up. That is worse as now I can’t do much else to the text, but I can usually figure something out.
Although just awhile ago I had a client that ended up passing the report around to different departments and they came back with stupid revisions a number of times. After my first round of their edits I just didn’t care anymore if there was the end of a paragraph on the next page, if I didn’t agree with their grammar, etc. (Engineering report - not like it needed to be some literary work of art.)
He plays viola.
Every school needs more viola players for their orchestra.
I play viola, I like this guy.
Cool article!
