Skip to comments.Metal Cats: Hardcore Metal Musicians Pose With Their Cats
Posted on 04/02/2014 10:02:43 AM PDT by Pyro7480
Musicians and fans of the metal music community often get a bad rap because of their dark, gruff and tattooed looks. The adorable set of photos published in Metal Cats by Alexandra Crockett sets out to change all that by getting accomplished metal musicians to pose with their feline friends and show off their softer sides.
The people posing in these photos represent bands with names that are anything but cuddly Napalm Death, Cattle Decapitation, Murder Construct, Skeletonwitch and Lightning Swords Of Death. But despite these fearsome band names and their black leather, spikes, tattoos and muscles, its clear that they share a close relationship with their loveable animals just like the rest of us.
Whats even better is that these musicians, most of whom have thousands of supporters worldwide, arent just putting their faces behind the cause. A series of benefit concerts will be held along the U.S. West Coast, and the proceeds from these concerts, along with a portion of the books proceeds, will go to no-kill animal shelters at each of the four cities visited by the benefit shows.

From the Bored Panda site; kitties with unusual markings:
Think most of them had a little ‘help’ (like a little dye)- especially those with a cat on the cat’s back.
What do you think?
Big deal! Brudway's gonna make dem Starz!!! Pawz prinrz in seement an eberyting!!! Free treets an fud tu!
BTW. That’s Sancho on lead guitar!.
Who else could it be?
No idea who any of those guys are.
Nice kittehs though, they are what matters.
Having come late into the game with metal, one thing I have learned is that metal musicians are musicians, not psycho killers, no matter what kind of image they try to present. The play loud music, but they still spend much of their time practicing a musical instrument.
IMHO, there is more in common with a metal guitarist and a symphonic violinist than with a metal guitarist and a gang member.
That cat looks like it was laying on top of an amplifier right before it started amplifying.
LOL, totally true! That kitty could give grumpy cat a run! It’s an adorable picture.
