Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is offering an alternative to President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul, saying states should play a greater role in containing health care costs. […]

Jindal’s plan would create a $100 billion grant program that states could access if they create insurance reforms to control costs. To participate, states would need to guarantee access to people with pre-existing conditions, a key part of Obamacare. …

And for people who say, “oh, we don’t need anything, just go back to the free market we had before,” they should think again. First of all, it never was a free market and hasn’t been one for decades - if ever - because of the insurance companies and federal and state health agencies.

Rino talk. Get the government completely out of medical care. Creating a government solution to a government created problem = insanity.

As a Louisiana Freeper I have been saying for years now that Jindal is a democrat in GOP guise. He’s to the left of the Beltway Republicans. I don’t know why Rush and Hannity keep putting this guy on a pedestal.

Government, at any level, has NO business in the health insurance industry apart from (perhaps) certifying minimum levels of education regarding the business and the various broad policy outlines.
Jindal has a good idea in that repeal notion. First, dump this POS ZeroCare.
Then, level the playing field. Remove restrictions that preclude selling insurances across state lines.
Privatize Medicare completely, and get fedgov out of the Dr’s offices and patients’ lives.
And, then, get the hell out of the way.

I gather ‘repeal and replace’ is the 2nd biggest lie following ‘you can keep your doctor’.

Why wait to replace ObamaCare, before removing it?

When your child is eating broken glass, you don't look for food to replace the glass before taking away the glass.

There can be no system where those with pre-existing conditions are allowed to get insurance, otherwise the whole system collapses

There is no way for the Republicans to win in 16 without some sort of solution to pre existing conditions.

I can’t think of a solution to that problem.

Once people with pre-existing conditions were allowed to get insurance... there was no way back.

Our government has now screwed up the situation so bad, that there is no way to fix it.

You know, just the other day I was asking myself “What does Bobby Jindal have to say about all this Obamacare stuff?”

Now that I’ve read it, I’m sorry I asked the question.

Until obamacare, anyone sick who needed medical attention just went to county hospital or any number of clinics providing free care. Now what will we have?
