Noah’s Ark would have floated…even with 70,000 animals

Noah’s Ark would have floated even with two of every animal in the world packed inside, scientists have calculated.

Although researchers are unsure if all the creatures could have squeezed into the huge boat, they are confident it would have handled the weight of 70,000 creatures without sinking.

A group of master’s students from the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Leicester University studied the exact dimensions of the Ark, set out in Genesis 6:13-22. According to The Bible, God instructed Noah to build a boat which was 300 cubits long 50 cubits wide and 30 cubits high—recommending gopher wood for the enormous lifeboat. The students averaged out the Egyptian and Hebrew cubit measurement to come up with 48.2 cm, making the Ark around 144 meters long—about 100 meters shorter than Ark Royal. Using the dimensions, the Archimedes principle of buoyancy and approximate animal weights, they were astonished to find out that the Ark would have floated. …

Both sexes of those eat plant sap until it’s time for the females to lay eggs; then the females switch to blood. Only females bite for blood; the males stay vegetarian.

Amazing when liberals discover the Bible isn’t all the hocus pocus they’d like it to be.

There was probably a box with the 400,000 beetle species somewhere.

There’ll be green aligators and long necked geese
some humpty back camels and some chimpanzes
some rats and cats and elephants, as sure as your born
but you just won’t see no unicorns.

Can’t imagine the logistics involved in getting the wombats and platypuses on that ark, but hey, it’s in the Bible that they were there, even if not named specifically.

Well, when you consider the fact that Noah probably chose juvenile species rather than adult species when considering the larger mammals, it makes perfect sense.

People who question the Noah account in the Bible often picture grown animals, besides the fact that they simply disbelieve God’s Word.

I just heard a NEW AD for the stinking movie on Christian Radio....

they claim ....it has LAUDED as a great acheivement...by “noted” Christians..

FAT CHANCE

they close the ad by saying that it takes liberties with the Scriptures...in a less that forthright manner

It was a simple math problem for students. It doesn’t take into account:

7 months of food
7 months of water
7 months of dung

Not a liberal or conservative issue. Based on basic math and science, the Ark is a myth. It has to have the hocus pocus part to be believable.
