"She was rabid. She had to be put down."

That's right. People would never have been able to turn their backs on Lizzie, or to close their eyes to sleep anywhere near her. And she made it clear she intended to murder the baby. There was no other alternative.

Few things bring home the hard realities of the apocalypse like the absolute necessity of putting down an extremely dangerous child.

"Michonne is certainly a lot more likable now that she speaks and does more than glare at everybody."

I love the way they've developed her personality and opened her up.

I don't think Beth is in Terminus. Unless shes already eaten, or a zombie, it really doesn't advance any plot points to have her be just another Terminus prisoner. Why the separate dramatic kidnapping?

I think Rick' "new sheriff in town" flashback line about Beth is significant in some way.

"Yeah I had to rewind to watch that again. Is that possible, to bite a guys neck out like that? I can’t see how it is, you would have to bite deep enough to rip the guys jugular vein or carotid artery out and the neck muscles which I would imagine would be like tough rubber. A person could probably rip off the top layers of skin, but deep enough to rip out half the neck? I don’t think so."

I wondered about that myself. On one of the threads from last week, a Freeper (can't remember the name) said his wife, a nurse, stated it is possible, especially with good teeth.

WD has one problem. It makes mankind totally helpless. Unlike World War Z where the zombies are very fast and strong, the zombies in WD are slow lumbering creatures that can easily be killed by fast mobile human killer teams. All mankind needs is one good stronghold that can protect a large organized population and field a small mobile killer team that will first clear the area of zombies and go from there. Good cold winter weather and the zombies are going to become less mobile as their body fluids freeze. Killing them would be even more easy for human forces. If SHTF the worst role to assume is refugee. You are limited by what you can carry and at the mercy of local forces. Since the characters lost their prison stronghold, they have become refugees.

It’s called character development.

Oh. We used to call it "boredom."

This season was by far the best.

Only now that it's mercifully over.

More people in WD get killed by people than zombies. The show doesn’t make mankind helpless, it makes them dangerous. Some people want to rebuild, but they aren’t all good people and they don’t all have good ideas for rebuilding. And others just see it as a chance to have fun with no rules. In the books they’ve done an entire year without the zombies killing anybody, though many people died. The zombies are really just a background threat, like bad weather, only really a problem if you get caught unaware or wind up in the bath of a horde. People though, they’re always a problem.

LOL! Yeah that’s another thing, it doesn’t matter what they use, a knife, a stick, a spike, these zombie skulls always smash open like they are made of eggshells lol. Oh yeah, and stomping, that also smashes their heads open like it’s made of watermelon.

good for people who like plot.

Yeah, because the "Walking Dead" is haute cinema.

It started out as a zombie show. Now it's nothing more than a soap opera playing out against a backdrop of zombies.

Does it have to be? I couldn't care less about "haute cinema", myself. I want a good story.

Now if it's run-of-the-mill zombie guts you're after, there's always the Chiller Channel.

As soon as the next group of commercials came on, that was the first thing I asked my wife about.(she's an NP) Paraphrasing here, but she said it was totally possible, especially if the person doing the biting had a good set of teeth. I followed up with your exact question regarding muscle/tissue, ect. She said that artery is very exposed just under the skin, and wouldn't require a 'deep' bite. If the person knew where to bite, it could be done, and the scene wasn't unrealistic.

I agree with you. This is my last season. The writing on this show is awful.

"Zombies have eggshell skulls too."

Potassium degradation post mortem increases exponentially resulting in a transmorgafation of bone cellular integrity. The producers of WD consult hourly with physicians, nuclear physicists and the military. Who, of course, have their own plans in place for when the REAL zombie apocalpse happens.

I once had a horrific nightmare about doing that exact thing to save my children from a terrorist, who were hiding in the treehouse and I was empty handed. It was at the re-wedding of friends and the bride was wearing a quasi victorian style princess dress weirdly made of that grungy looking acid washed denim.

OMG, we laughed so hard over that dress when I told my friend about the dream. We agreed the terrorists had saved her from a fatal fashion faux pas.

I almost always recall my dreams and sometimes they are hugely bizarre and entertaining.

When you take your pulse by putting your finger tips on your throat, what artery do you think you're feeling? It's there, right there with easy access for someone who wants to bite it.........CRUNCH!
