American public school students sick of the smaller portions and healthier offerings they get at lunch thanks to Michelle Obama's anti-obesity initiatives are sounding off on social media. Just a month after school lunch participation saw the steepest drop on record following the implementation of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act, students tired of going home hungry are making sure the first lady knows why. 'I'll never forgive Michelle Obama for this school lunch,' tweeted one angry student.

Our Marie Antoinette "pet project" that has cost local schools billions of dollars. One has to read outside sources to get news like this as our own MSM is a US version of Pravda.

‘I’ll never forgive Michelle Obama for this school lunch,’ tweeted one angry student.

Just wait until you figure out what the cabal has done to your future.

Hahaha, I love it. The stuff the schools serve is a LONG WAY from what the lunch ladies made for us when I was a kid eating in the ‘caff.’ I don’t know how it works now, but when I was volunteering at the local Middle School, I would not have touched that stuff.

There was a huge push to get every kid on the lunch program, though, as federal money was funneled through it to the school. I am sure this crud comes with piles of federal money. I hope they all become conservatives!

I purpose a new law. The white house must serve the same meals they mandate on others.

The photos are appalling. No child is going to eat half a kiwi. Kiwi is used as garnish on the tv show Chopped! It’s one thing to overfeed a kid but to dish out food that would be ignored by inmates at a Japanese prison of war camp is child abuse.

Or getting them used to the upcoming famine...

Despite the negative press, the media is still calling the new lunch program "healthier". There's nothing healthy about low-calorie, low-fat, high-carb.

This is a wonderful lesson in central planning. If only someone would explain it to the students.

I must have missed something. The UK paper refers to these lunch programs as “the law.” Since when? I thought participation is voluntary. Or does the Queen have lawmaking powers?

Well — there’s more to come or should I say less — so get ready for an austerity future.

This miserable lunches are not “the law.” Thankfully, Marie Antoinette Obama doesn’t have a pen and a phone…yet.

On one hand I want to smack these little spoiled kids and revert back to my upbringing...”You better sit and eat that food, I don’t care if you like it or not, its good food that someone paid for and you gonna appreciate it. This ain’t no damn motel you little ingrate.”

On the other hand it proves my theory that every time something is just fine, a liberal will come in to “make it better” (read: make it THEIR way) and spend millions of dollars to make something worse than it was, when it was perfectly fine to start with.

A little bit of both, I guess. Chewy shouldn’t have used it for her hobby project and totally screwed it up... while, even though different, the little brats still should be thankful they have good food.

I think the students will stop eating it or eating less.

therefore, the schools will make less and buy less.

So now, Chewy will say she singlehandedly cut costs to school lunches while helping kids eat less.

Brilliant! Or mandate the schools to serve what they serve in the White House.

those lunches look awful and you are scarred from your parents’ weirdness about food if you can’t tell that

there is nothing good about being forced to eat stuff that is unappetizing

my dad forced my sister to eat her Chow Mein, yech, and so she did, poor thing and then threw up all over the table

Served my dad right

That being said, my mom grew up poor in the Depression and my dad spent 3 years of his childhood in a concentration camp

Our parents were scarred by the times they lived in

No reason to act like we have to eat Spam and drink Tang today, we don’t

I want my kids to have food they view as appealing

Hungry kids aren’t learning.

I thought school lunch was great in the 80’s.

I remember getting the square pizza and fries just about every day.

I would take the fries, put them on top of the pizza and eat it like a taco. Straight outside to the courtyard where the jock/cheerleader crowd hang out.

And I’m still alive!

1% milk is junk. My diet lady said to put 1/2 and 1/2 in my coffee. It has fewer carbs.

The reality of this mess is what the WH or these political dimwits, or even our county officials cannot understand.

If you hint that only $1.50 of federal, state or county money will be spent on the kid’s meal, and the kid is also spending roughly $2 from his own money....you end up with roughly $2 of food, and the rest spent on labor required.

You then try to figure some gimmick that kids will eat....cost almost $2, and be nutritional. It’s almost impossible.

As a kid in 1973, I can remember paying 45-cents for a plate of food....typically having one thin slice of roast beef, some mashed potatoes, half-an-apple, and a roll (with some milk). You try offering that to a kid today, and they will refuse it.

I had enough trouble on an Air Force base to eat lunch with $6....if I didn’t use the chow hall. You basically get two slices of pizza (combo) and a soda with that much money. It’s not even good pizza.
