You’re thinking of the Newman hoax. This is a different guy. John Pinette. He was a pretty famous stand-up comedian who happened to be in the last episode of Seinfeld.

He’s not talking about Newman, he’s talking about the fat guy that took them to court in the series finale.
Since he is a little known stand-up comedian, I don’t think he would count.
