Inside Vladimir Putin's Skull
The American Thinker ^ | April 9, 2014 | Kim Zigfeld

Posted on 04/09/2014 1:25:36 AM PDT by No One Special

In the space of just a few weeks, Vladimir Putin has destroyed his entire reputation in the Western world and all the foreign and domestic policies he has struggled for more than a decade to devise and implement. What can he possibly be thinking?

[...]

Russia is governed by a madman, a raving nationalist with totalitarian designs, motivated by a fevered desire for revenge after his cold-war thrashing.

[...]

Travin describes a system of state-controlled media, rigged elections, and a rubber-stamp parliament that is nothing less than a “new and improved” USSR, with Russian nationalism replacing Communism as the motivating ideological force. Physical repression is needed only to the extent that financial resources are not adequate to achieve control through corruption, and the regime is actively engaged in all-out “brainwashing” of the population, just as in Soviet times.

I’m much more worried about Barack Obama, his lovely wife and Valerie Jarrett. I doubt that Vladimir consciously wants to kill me.

I believe he’ll kill anyone, very coldly and very deliberately if someone gets in his way.

I wonder what on earth is going on with Putin that he is suddenly dropping his mask and presenting his true self to the entire world. We foolishly placated him and now he’s not bothering to play nice anymore.

Thugs almost always overplay their hand. Time will tell if that has happened to Putin in the Ukraine.

I think one big chunk of what motivates Putin is hatred of Barak Hussein Obama. I think Vlad loathes him. And Obama dissing Vlad’s Olympics was the last straw. Putin laid in wait until the Olympics were over and then immediately pounced on the Crimea, thumbing his nose at the West of whom all the main country heads boycotted his Olympics(France, Britain, the U.S., others) and is still over there stewing in his own hostile juices.

I don’t think he’ll stop yet, as he is still really po’d as to how the West shafted what he considered the shining jewel in his crown over in Sochi. He still wants payback. They ruined his Olympics, he’s going to ruin their peace of mind and make them worry that WWIII could start. Works for him.

Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots, showed him his Super Bowl ring. Putin looked at it and said, “I could kill a man with this”. He then tossed the ring to his security and left. He stole the ring.

I doubt Vlad hates Obama as much or more than many Americans do - myself included.

Yeah, but try telling this to dunderheads and dupes and you end up with the weird accusation that you’re a homo or an Obama plant if you won’t praise Putin as a Christian.

All this notwithstanding, I remain convinced that Putin isn’t out to destroy this country.... Obama and the left are.

Is it not possible that both the US Left and Putin have the same objective, or is that too far out to believe?

“We foolishly placated him and now he’s not bothering to play nice anymore.”

The two main differences between Putin and Obama are these:

1). Putin, coming from a KGB background, employs analytical thinking. He’d spent years reading Bush and Obama. Knowing Bush wasn’t fearful of defending American interests, Putin exercised a high level of caution, knowing an overreach could be costly. Putin regards America under Obama’s rule as nothing but a rapidly weakening state, more at war with itself than any opposing international power. He rightly views Obama as feckless, indecisive and Carteresque. Putin biews this as the prime time to muscle his way through Eastern Europe, knowing he won’t be contested beyond spoken words and letters of “concern.”

2). Like him or not, Putin views issues through the prism of the country he represents. He’s a thug to be sure, but he is Russian to the core. Contrast that with Obama, who fancies himself as a “citizen of the world” who, instead of pressing out national interest, commences to apologizing to America’s sworn enemies for our “acts of arrogance.” He follows this up with abrogation of the missile treaties with the Czech Republic and Poland, a shrinking of our military to pre-WWII size, and craven indecisiveness on Syria.

In short, Putin regards America as too feeble to stop him from his hegemonic goals.

Insofar as America’s future is concerned, the left in this country is far more nefarious.

Sounds much like the domestic actions of the Obama Regime and the Left in general. Obama is far stronger in the US than internationally because his international actions further weakens the US that he loathes.
