The irony. A town named after a Christian saint is afraid to meantion a religous tradition.

Funny they didn’t want to name the bunny after a pagan holiday...
It’s not like he was the “Resurrection Day Bunny”.

Easily countered.
Just keep saying Easter bunnby, no matter what the low IQ gubmit dorks say.
If they object, give them the standard salute given by real people to the Obamadork...that’s the one-finger salute.
It’s far past time to shove this up their smelly Obamaholes.

So the county employees should have to work on Good Friday instead of taking that day off.

Sign of the times, said Michael Workman, county communications director. Its the prudent course of action. Our goal has always been to include all in the communities we serve. Typical lefty rollover response. The 'times' exist because weasels in government have acquiesced to liberal nonsense and/or actively encourage it.
And here's a tip: whenever some government pencil-pusher uses the word 'communities,' simply substitute 'communes.' It's more concise and far more accurate.

This is the same crowd of morons who renamed Balboa Park's "Christmas on the Prado" to "Winter Nights"...so inspiring. Assume they did so to honor the 9/11 Muzzie terrorists who lived & took flight training in America's Finest Foolish City.

Of course not...we’ll get an official proclamation.

Easter bunnies don’t really have anything to do with Easter, so maybe this is a good thing. It’s almost the opposite of controversies in which a Christmas event is renamed a “Winter Holiday.” In the latter case, a religious holiday is being transformed into a secular holiday, whereas in this case they are disassociating a secular add-on from a religious celebration that it has nothing to do with in the first place.

I have no problem with this. It is not a Christian symbol. It has nothing to do with Easter.

I agree that Easter is a religous celebration - for some. Christians, Druids, Pagans and more. But just as Christmas also has strong secular traditions, so does Easter.
Leave the Easter Bunny alone.

“We will include everyone”. Except Christians, who are named that because of Christ, who lived, died, and rose again to defeat sin and death. Those people, who celebrate Easter as the ultimate redemption reminder, we will offend those people .

I didn't see anything about Muslims in the story - did Muslims protest the Easter bunny?

So? No one has ever said that Easter belongs exclusively to the Christians.
Leave the Easter Bunny alone.

Its the prudent course of action. Our goal has always been to include all in the communities we serve. And how many Muslims will be "included" in this oh-so inclusive, prudent farce?

Just stop going to these secular things. Have your own Easter celebration at home.
