Bye-Bye 7N6
The Bag Stick ^ | 4/8/14 | MAC

The BATFE has spoken. 7N6 surplus ammo is now officially banned from future import.

In the official letter posted April 7th on the BATFE website, we’re told that on March 5th of 2014 the Customs and Border Protection Agency (CBP) submitted a request for a formal evaluation of 7N6 ammo by the BATFE. This request was intended to force a ruling on the eligibility of the ammo to be imported. Apparently the Customs and Border Protection Agency has nothing better to do with its time than working to ban the import of affordable practice ammo… but I digress.

Got anything to document your claim? Of course they also pointed out that the language was so broad it would also ban lots of bullets besides the Teflon coated bullets that the media dubbed “cop killers”. That’s because the gun control crowd uses that tactic all the time. But that’s not the same thing as supporting banning those bullets. So who in the NRA supported it, and when?

I did. Found nothing except criticism of the NRA by antis for opposing it. It’s pretty hard to prove a something didn’t happen, which is why it’s up to the person who claims it did to supply some evidence.

The ring finger of my left hand, SOB almost bit the last joint off.

You don’t want to find out how that feels in cold weather.

To get close, take a pair of pliers and go mid-evil on your finger.

It wasnt a US company. It was a foreign gunmaker and the ATF approved the import of the pistol in 2010. They wanted this to happen.

This has GOT to be one of the more stupid things I’ve ever heard of regarding firearms/ammo regulations. Totally stupid!

What’s next? 5.56? It too is “armor piercing” and can technically be fired from a ‘handgun’.

Just damn STUPID!!!!!

Did I mention that this is STUPID?!?!

It was a Polish prototype SBR (google Fabryka Bronie Radom Onyks 89S) less than 200 built and never put into production. Royal Tiger Imports was looking into importing in pistol form but AFAIK nothing ever happened with it until the BATFE went looking for a reason to ban all that cheap 7N6 surplus ammo that has been flooding in.

There is principle involved but OTOH, 5.45x39mm is not much of a round. Lot of ammo sellers can't even give it away. Best to stick with 7.62x39mm. I expect I have enough of the old Yugo M76 to get me through whatever is coming.

The NRA considers a whole lot of things victories that are ultimately designed to disarm america, and American’s, and hopefully American’s will wake up and see through the long and compromised history of their beloved hunting and sporting purposes anti-gun, organization apptly named nra.

NRA has been around since 1871 promoting every egregious anti-second amendment action designed to minimize and thwart “shall not be infringed”, they will continue to use the money willingly sent to them by their cohorts in crime, to work against the American people and their God given rights.

Perspective says: these are the same people who voted twice to send the present occupant of the White House to work for them. I for one don’t send anyone to Washington to work for me, rather I expect them to protect me from those who think they need to work for me.

In the meantime try finding a group that does not compromise away what little we have left in the way of protection. NAGR GOA JPFO anyone, but get the hell out of the nra and stop sending them money to be used against you.

Case in point, “fix NICS”, an NRA inspired program, pushed by the “NSSA” that would be the National Shooting Sports Association, and designed to get every state in these United States to send a mental health LIST to the NICS. That would be the National Instant Criminal Background Check System. South Dakota managed to remain off this egregious LIST until the nra supported a bill in the legislature to get us compliant with their “final solution”.

Good Golly Moses folks what will it take to wake up the masses. The NRA is not now nor ever was your friend. They were all in on the last gun ban called the 1986 gun control act. I’d say it’s like this: there are way too few folks actually interested in what is going on in the gun world, until things begin to go south, when it is way too late for action, compromise is reached that looks like it has put to bed the latest attack, then everyone goes back to sleep until the next crisis. One of these days, the real crisis will be on the table, and too late our goose is cooked.

It takes guts to be hard core when it comes to gun rights. Hard core isn’t in the vocabulary of the wusses at nra.
