For my money, no one plays this better than the master of the electric guitar Les Paul...

One of the first pieces I ever slow-danced to...13 years old and hormones raging!

I listened to a few other versions; Jeff Beck, Joe Satriani, et al.

Less Paul is by far the BEST. Thank you! :)

I still have several 78 rpm records by Les Paul and Mary Ford.

Don’t forget Mary’s sultry voice. None better (for sultry, that is.)

LOL! By the, I wouldn’t dare play them, even it I owned a record player that would still play 78 RPM records ... way to valuable.

Probably one of the first pieces every aspiring jazz guitarist takes a stab at.

I tried to follow this tutorial - but no way, especially on an acoustic. Love his sound though.

My grandad has some vinyl Mickey and Silvia that I love! The guitars are almost like Les Paul and Mary Ford. (he has a rack of almost three yards of 33’s)

Still like the sound of the original by those 2 Brooklyn kids. I first heard it at the end of the summer of 59’ I still enjoy it when its played on the radio. One big sweet memory is attached to it. Can’t get either the song or the memory out of my mind, it always brings me back to that time. I guess that’s the same with many songs occurring during our “happy days”.

Hey, he’s fun to watch/listen to.

I know nothing about the right hand, otherwise can form the chords with the left more or less.

What kind of settings on the amp and pickups do you use for that sound?

So I'm listening to a 1950's song on Youtube. And the background guitar work was magnificent, unique. So I says to myself, "I'll bet that's Les Paul." And then I checked. I was right.
