Vanity: Lets Get Ted And America A TW

Posted on 04/12/2014 7:54:01 AM PDT by ConservativeMan55

Freepers should be aware there is an intense battle going on in Oklahoma for the US Senate Seat there being vacated by RINO Tom Coburn.

The choice is between James Lankford

And... TW SHANNON

Lankford is being backed by special interest groups, McCain and Huckabee.

Shannon is being backed by Sarah, Mark Levin, Senate Conservatives Fund and Dr. Ben Carson.

This is freaking OKLAHOMA! There's no reason we shouldn't elect the MOST CONSERVATIVE Senator in the Entire Nation! Obama didn't win ONE COUNTY either election!!!!

Lankford's record is clear. He supports AMNESTY for illegals, and voted for Obamacare FOUR TIMES.

http://www.senateconservatives.com/site/post/2436/scf-wont-support-lankford-in-oklahoma

Congressman Lankford's record includes:

Voted to raise the debt limit three times. (2013 RCV #30, 2011 RCV #677, 2011 RCV #690)

Voted to fund Obamacare four times. (2013 RCV #640, 2011 RCV #941, 2011 RCV #719, 2011 RCV #179)

Voted for the Ryan-Murray budget agreement that increased spending, raised taxes, and cut benefits to military retirees. (2013 RCV #640)

Voiced support for amnesty for illegal immigrants as well as a path to citizenship. (AP, 7/10/13)

Voted to allow the National Security Agency (NSA) to continue its bulk collection of phone record data. (2013 RCV #412)

Voted against strengthening the work requirements in the food stamp program for individuals receiving benefits. (2013 RCV #283)

Voted to allow farmers making over $250,000 a year to continue to receive crop insurance subsidies. (2013 RCV #276, 2011 RCV #455)

Voted to protect programs like the Legal Services Corporation (2012 RCV#219) and the Economic Development Agency. (2012 RCV #207)

TW SHANNON presided over one of the most CONSERVATIVE Sessions in the history of the Oklahoma legislature.

They passed an immigration law TOUGHER than the AZ law.. running many illegals out of the state.
They DEFUNDED the Arts! Bahaha!

They stood up against Common Core.

They put term limits on any State Reps. There is a Rat in Oklahoma named Constance Johnson and she's now term limited. She'll never gain national notoriety now. This will ensure Conservative control over the state for years to come.

And did I mention TW is endorsed by Mark Levin and Sarah......

TOPICS: Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS: oklahoma; twshannon
There is also a man named Randy Brogdon, who is Conservative, running. But Brogdon got into the race late and has little to no name recognition.

The good thing is Oklahoma has a runoff. So in the end it'll probably be decided in a runoff between TW and Lankford.

TW Needs our support!!!!!!! Please either donate or find creative ways to help!

What I do.. is I go to Lankford's Facebook Page. And I find people that are supporting him. And I send them his record. Most people are SHOCKED.. when they see what Lankford has voted for!

It's a dollar to send someone a message on facebook but if 200 Freepers did that.. would make a nice little dent!!!

Brogdon might split the vote. He should drop out.

I thought that too at first.. but don’t worry! Oklahoma has a runoff rule!

So even if he takes Conservatives votes away.. there will be a runoff between the top two candidates. In this case between Shannon and Lankford.

Brogdon, by entering the race, may have just ensured a runoff will happen.

OK has a run-off if no one gets to 50%+1, and I think that Shannon (whom I support) will have a better chance of overcoming Lankford’s establishment and Baptist endorsements and deeper pockets in the lower-turnout run-off than in the regular primary (particularly since conservatives would have more time to point out Lankford’s less-than-exemplary record). I haven’t seen recent polls, but I suspect that Lankford is ahead but is under 50%. So I think that Brogdon staying in the race and getting his people to the polls will help conservatives stop Lankford from reaching the Senate.

I agree.

At first I was like.. oh crap! But now I’m thinking him jumping in may actually help TW.

Here’s my next question.

WHEN would that runoff be held?

Immediately? Or would they wait for the November mid terms?

We should really get the runoff system in place in every state.

Great post, thanks for the ping! I have been so busy with my son’s school that I have not done as much for the campaign as I would have liked by now. However, I have recruited several voters because I speak about him to everyone I meet.

That is a great idea about FaceBook. I am not on FaceBook but I hope others take your recommendation.

I saw several commercials during “Wheel of Fortune” the other night by Lankford. Made himself sound like a Tea Partier....LOL!! But it was a smart move to advertise during that time slot because many elderly citizens and others are “wheel whatchers”.

I hope to get more involved as school winds down. Keep me posted as u can. GO TW!!!

Ive sent about 30 of those Facebook messages out with Lankford’s record. Of those 30.. I got 20 people to change their votes to Shannon.

The run-off for all OK primaries in which no one gets a majority in the first round will be held on August 24.

Agreed. The problem is to convince incumbent state legislators (who often benefit from divided primary opposition) to legislate for it.
