The science fiction genre was created by mathematician Johannes Kepler when he wrote Somnium (The Dream) in 1611.

We can take it back even further to “True History” by Lucian of Samosata, written sometime in the 150’s (AD). It includes a voyage to the Moon, too.

I just read the synopsis for the first show, “Robots”. It does not even mention Asimov or the rules of robotics. It appears the producers may believe that sci-fi only appears in movies and that no one paid any attention until Star Trek and Star Wars came along.
I hope I am wrong, but doing a show about robots and not even mentioning Asimov is like doing a show about computers and not including Babbage.
