Brando is very funny! But I doubt you’ll get politically correct freepers to agree with you or me! Thank you posting.

Wow. Just saw it and loved it. Only really knew Shirley Jones as Mrs. Partridge, so this was a real treat. In a lot of ways I think it was better than the remake.

Glad you enjoyed it. Incidentally, last week’s MFASA was also a Shirley Jones picture-

I love these old movies. I’m not loving the movies made today as much. They have some real gems on Netflix if you know how to find them.

My goal in creating this MFASA series of threads was this: I imagine that I am a station manager of a local TV station back in the days when I was a child when they would air older movies made back during the days of the Hays Code that were relatively clean(at least compared to the average modern film, anyway). So, I look online to see if some of the films I grew up watching are available online and post links to introduce others to them.

Or one might opt to spend a little time or more at the TCM all-day tribute to Mickey Rooney, starting this morning with films like “Huckleberry Finn” and “Captains Courageous” and extending through now and into the wee hours of Monday morning with the likes of “National Velvet” and “Babes on Broadway”.....
