Where else would Bubba Watson go after winning the Masters but the Waffle House? At about 1:30 in the morning, Watson, his wife Angie and several friends hit a Waffle House somewhere near Augusta National to celebrate.
You can't tell if he's wearing the green jacket in that photo, but fear not, lords of Augusta National: Bubba did not get scattered n' smothered hash browns on the revered fabric. Here's another angle from a friend:
It's reminiscent of the time in 2010 when Phil Mickelson took his kids to a nearby Krispy Kreme while wearing the green jacket:

I like Bubba, he’s a breath of fresh air.
The writer Busbee is a leftist fool - who while reporting this is cringing at the thouhgt of a guy named Bubba in a waffle house down south.
I’ve gotten into many back and forths with this little twerp on twitter -over his biased coverage of everything from Mike Sam to the Redskins name to Jason Collins. Etc. All the leftwing crap, masquerading as sports news.
I doubt he was hitting on the waitress
I think you meant to say..”Eldrick who?”
Anyone else still ask for their hash browns ‘in the ring?’
I’ve never been crazy about scattered.
There was one near my school in DC in the late '60s. Loved the shoe-string fries. It was also staffed by released convicts on probation.
‘Jalapeños with my hash browns’ ping....
It's Waffle House. The waitress is hitting on him. 😘
So when are they going to get a Waffle House up here in the Pacific NW??? They are getting a few Chick-Fil-As built here in the next year.
I miss hitting the old Awful Waffle on Sunday mornings for a pecan waffle. Yu’uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum!
Useless bit of trivia: The jackets are kept in lockers at Augusta National. They are not to be worn outside of or removed from the grounds, though I think Gary Player got away with lifting one.
Looks like they go as far West as Phoenix!
I can step outside, tee up a golf ball....use my driver and land a ball at my local Waffle House.....great food
The winner is allowed to keep the jacket and wear it during the first year after their win, then they have to return it to Augusta....
Things get crazy when you’re chugging syrup.
He’s either a true bubba, or a marketing genius.
LOL. Waffle House can be great theater when you go there sober.
Huddle House is better. ;-)
Too bad they don’t provide real cream for the coffee. “Edible oil product” just doesn’t cut it.
Love their hash browns. I think Phil Mickelson was actually looking into buying the whole Waffle House chain some years back.
I just put in a request at the Waffle House that they put a location in Seattle or Porkland.
I am very pleased he has won a second Master’s Tournament! From the beginning of this one I was hoping he’d do it. He is a real gentleman and down to earth guy! Good for him!
Loves me some Waffle House! It was my designated hangout during finals week in college. Where else could you get a cup of hot tea and an order of fried cheese sticks at 3 in the morning?
Think it was a subtle but paid celebrity endorsement?
WA state isn’t a Waffle House kinda culture. I’ve lived in both places.
Even Eastern WA and Idaho isn’t. You start drifting into Eastern Montana and then I can see it.
Humility; lack of pretense; good, satisfying comfort food that isn’t ORGANIC or FAIR TRADE; hiring ex-cons to run them - none of that is the PacNW.
Too much new money, arrogance, progressivism, and hypocrisy.
Even in the sticks, you get the new money types buying high-end ranch set-ups and playing like they are country.
No, just a “man of the people” moment. Don’t get me wrong, I watched the Masters and pulled for him. Doubt that he’s a marketing genius.
If I was down in Florida and I was hungry for “late-night munchies”,I Always hit the local”Awful House”for chili-cheese fries with onions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I was at UF, that's what "Skeeters" was for.
O course he did (pun intended)
“LOL. Waffle House can be great theater when you go there sober.”
Don’t forget to carry concealed or forget to bring your first aid kit!

This Map Shows Where You’re Most Likely To Find A Waffle House
(Probably used by the criminals to find the two locations above.)
Newt who? Gingrichs dine at Waffle House with little fanfare
I bet the corporate guys are going to notice a slight spike in revenues over the next few days or possible the rest of the week!
“...satisfying comfort food that isnt ORGANIC or FAIR TRADE; hiring ex-cons to run them - none of that is the PacNW.”
That’s EXACTLY why they need to be here! It’d be the best way to give the bird to the hippies!
While I agree, they can bring in a few Chick fil A’s too. Man I miss those.
Chick-Fil-As are being built in Lynnwood, Seattle (Northgate), and Tacoma.
Waffle House Ping
And while you are at it, have the waitress give me a coffee, please.
I wish they would come to my state too,
I’ve written to them several times to request. I think it would do really really well here.
From yesterday’s telecast, Bubba certainly got on well with Spieth, Fowler, and Kuchar.
If he didn’t go to Sconyer’s BBQ (or at least one of the other find BBQ places in and around Augusta) it is less bright than I thought.
You do NOT go to Augusta and not eat BBQ at least once, twice if you can get to Sconyer’s.
I will have to try to find that. It has a long time since I went to Augusta. There is supposedly the boshears air show at the end of the month.
I’ll bet Bojangles isn’t too happy. Bubba has a hilarious commercial out now for them! Love all the Golf Boys! Check ‘em out on You Tube! Bobby Jones is rolling in his grave!
Don’t forget they give a discount to Vets.
Here in California, Waffle House, Cracker Barrel and Dunkin’ Donuts are effectively unknown in terms of real places to eat (though Dunkin’ Donuts coffee beans are sold in California).
