I am sort of protesting the play-offs since my team isn’t there and our pompous blaming-everyone-but-himself GM fired our wonderful coach yesterday. At this point, we’re deciding who we want out in the first round.

Surely the teams are seeded 1 through 8 in each conference, not two sets of 1-4?

We just went to giguere's last game Sunday. It wasn't a home game, he was playing for the avs at the Ducks.

Probably two of the big moments in his life. They announced his last game around the start of the second, and he got a full house, every seat filled, standing O that went on for many minutes. He looked humbled. Every fan in the house loved him, so it was perfect. He was beloved by both sides.

Then, it was Teemu Selanne's last reg game, so he got a huge tribute after their win, and dang if he didn't go up and pull out Jean-Sebastien for an arm in arm skate that was such a gesture of good sportsmanship and honor that the crowd went wild.

In a general way, the first round is my favorite round, seems like their can be up to 5 games a night, next round is okay but once you lose the team you are cheering for, interest is so-so.

I wish the Cup ended by June. Seems early June, it is still going on.

No it’s a new complicated system. The top two teams in the conference play wild cards while 2-3 in the division play each other. There is no crossover in the next rounds so if 3 and wild card win, they play while l and 2, say, play in the other division, not l and wild card. Got it?

Let's go HAWKS!!

I DO NOT EXPECT the Blackhawks to repeat this year. Our so-called goalies have a problem keeping the puck out of the net at critical times. Crawford's snorrrring can be heard throughout in the 3rd period!!

Best thing to ever happen to the Jackets was to get out of that silly Western Conference and draw a first-round matchup with a team a three hour drive up I-70.

That being said, they don’t have the firepower to take the Pens in a seven game series.

Penguins have had some horrible games this year all the same.

No, they don’t. I don’t know why they gave away Gaborik for a used puck bag. And I would rather they had drawn Boston or the Rangers. I think the Pens are the worst matchup possible for the Jackets.

Surely the teams are seeded 1 through 8 in each conference, not two sets of 1-4?

With the new realignment, that's how it's presented on the NHL web site.

The Bruins are 1 and the Penguins are 2. But the second round will look differently too.

Thanks. It sounds like they are going back to having division champs, like they did way back when.

When the Pens won in 91 and 92 they had to win two rounds in the Patrick Division before playing the winner of the Adams.

CBJ vs the Pens. Those are my teams. I don’t know if it’ll be win- win or lose - lose. Go Sid, Go Bob....

Tampa Bay Lightning F Kucherov scores the first goal in Round 1 vs Montreal, but the
Canadiens' Tomas Plekanec responds 19 seconds later to tie the game at 1-1 at the First Intermission.
