Sound farfetched that an entire missing airliner could be part of a huge viral marketing campaign for a "Lost" movie?
Really? Or perhaps you underestimate Bad Robot.
It's a slideshow on an irritatingly-coded & advertising-saturated site (no popups, though), but worth looking at.
Frankly, it ranks right up there with most plausible conspiracy theories, particularly given the news this week (not to mention today)...
How much worse can theories get get than a black hole? Well, this is worse.
I neglected my /sarc tag...
I think it’s crazy.
And the sinking of the Korean cruiseship is for the new Godzilla movie.
Maybe trying to revive this old show, THE NEW PEOPLE (1969-1970).
Right. All of the families were paid actors, and the Chinese government aiming real military hardware at Malaysia, and making warlike noises, that is because they were in on it.
It’s tagged ‘humor’ in ‘chat’ for good reason.
The whole thing is a big joke (except to the families).
If you’d have watched it, you’d see the humor. It’s almost pathetic, but less so than some of the ‘news’ posted in ‘news’...
Yeah, my first thought as well. Sheesh.
I have no doubt that a disaster movie will be forthcoming. Hollywood is at its best when they capitalize on people’s misfortune. If they can somehow link it to the evil Gringo, all the better.
And I’m sure the tsa will not allow a good crisis go to waste either...
But staged? Not on your life.
I jest had my coffee.
And stop calling me Shirley.
It probably isn’t that, though it isn’t impossible. Considering the amount of money spent looking for this plane, there aren’t enough movies in the world that Bad Robot could produce to pay it all back.
Has CNN brought up that the crash could have been caused by Snakes on the Plane? Snakes slithering all over the auto-pilot’s controls could have caused the changes in course and altitude. Have they found any non-native snakes in the searches? Are they even looking for snakes?
Ya know, I’m going to send that link to cnn right now...
BEST PUBLICITY STUNT EVAR!
4 8 15 16 23 42...
Not having watched the show but, didn’t it end with them all being dead all the time??
I hated those so-called ‘reality’ shows. Never watched a one. Couldn’t tell ya.
Unless they get lucky this search area will take a year and a half.
Meanwhile back at home:
(CNN) Families of some of the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 passengers released a list of questions Wednesday that they said authorities have so far not answered.
Many of the 26 questions focus on technical issues involving emergency locator transmitters, or ELTs, and black boxes. With an apparent in-depth understanding of how these work, the families ask about the specific technology on the missing plane....
The families final seven questions involve protocol, including this: What did Malaysia Airlines do when the flight went missing?
The families also ask whether search and rescue teams have final results from searched areas, and whether the Malaysian government could specify the rights of family members to know the facts of cases or the details of an incident.
The questions were posted on the social media site Weibo by a committee in Beijing representing some of the passengers families. Some of the questions are requests that evidence be shared with them, including the flights logbook and air traffic control audio.
It’s nonsense because even if a movie studio was able to pull such a stunt off, they would be immediately sued into bankruptcy and they would be the targets of world outrage. Think about the millions of dollars already expended by international search teams alone.
