MISHAWAKA, Ind. - Northern Indiana police say a 19-year-old man has been arrested on murder and attempted murder charges in a shooting that killed a young child.
Lt. David Wells of St. Joseph County police says Robert L. Griffin was arrested without incident Friday at a Mishawaka apartment complex.

"Investigators say a stray bullet hit Swoveland in the chest last week while he played outside a relative's home on Campeau Street. They say the shots were fired while two gangs were fighting blocks away.
The two rival gangs met up at Coquillard Park for a fight. Things escalated. People pulled out guns and started shooting.
Court documents show a bullet from one of those guns, a revolver, traveled three blocks before it hit the young boy. "
Looks like six young Amish children arrested.
There are people here who know much more about revolvers than I, but three blocks would be about 1/3 of a mile, which seems like a long trajectory for a bullet coming out of a revolver
Depends on the caliber.A .357 will go a lot further than that,for example.
I rebuilt and heightened the local cops shooting range after one of their 9mm bullets was found imbedded in the wall of a house over a mile away.
It can happen.
But, like I’ve said many times, it seems black gangs can shoot off dozens of rounds at each other, but never seem to hit anybody but a kid down the street.
OK, that makes sense; I hear "revolver" and two pictures come to mind: the Beatles album, and a six-shooter :-)

Elmer Keith claimed to have shot a deer at 600 yards with a .44 mag pistol. Others called him a liar, but tests done years ago showed it could be done.

It breaks my heart and enrages me at the same time.
A .22LR can travel about a mile at 1100 fps muzzle velocity. A .357 magnum comes out at a tad over 1200 fps. A 9mm would be able to go that distance with bad effects
I remember seeing a video interview with a gang member in jail in Calif,. for a gang shooting. One of his shots also killed an innocent person on the street. He was indignant about it the charge of murder. His best excuse quote was: “Bullets ain’t got no eyes after they leave the gun”, what ever that means.
You’ve pointed out the real problem today in America.
After progressives successfully removed God and morality from much of society, there’s no moral compass.
