Jerome Ersland, who is serving a life sentence for killing Antwun Parker, 16, during a robbery attempt at an Oklahoma City pharmacy in 2009, received two years more in prison Monday after he was found guilty of having fentanyl in prison.

Before Ersland was caught smuggling narcotics into prison, he was a pretty popular guy around here.

He pled guilty, his son pled no contest. He also lost his latest appeal, unanimously.

I knew he had lied about being shot. I also know he had lied about serving in Desert Storm. I knew he was a drug addict who was probably high at the time of the incident.

What I didn't know is that he claimed to have two broken vertebrae, and that he told people that his vertebrae were broken during an artillery attack.

He has no broken vertebrae, unsurprisingly. Apparently that was the story he told to get scripts for Fentanyl.

Only a psycho would convince his own son to smuggle narcotics into prison while he is in the middle of appealing a life sentence.

It's insane.

Another felony conviction while in prison, and his son has already pled on his felony charge of smuggling the drugs to him, that is hard core and more proof that he is a sociopath.

That seemed to have been a bit of a mass delusion.

The consensus seemed to have been: "OK, he lied about being wounded in combat. He lied about being in Desert Storm. He invented a medical condition. He's a junkie. He pretended he was shot when he wasn't. He lied about wrestling with the stick up kid. Fine. But no way was he lying about the unconscious, unarmed robber threatening him - that was obviously true!"
